Frank was driving down Interstate 5 south towards Oregon. He was 10 minutes away from Vancouver. The gas icon started blinking. The nearest gas station wasn't for another 30 miles. He didn't have that much fuel to last that long.
His 1982 Buick Regal broke down, and he quickly pulled into the breakdown lane. It was official. He ran out of diesel. As if that wasn't bad enough, the sky opened up, dumping heavy rainfall, blinding the visibility, and he got drenched in the process.
What was he to do now? There was only one solution at a time like this; hitchhike.
