Kieran looked through his gallery, scrolling through some old pictures before he'd go to the most recent. He'd smile while looking at the pictures. They were with Zayden from his birthday. In one, they were posing with a pastry Key had bought. In the next picture, Zayden had frosting on his face and the picture was distorted as Key was laughing so hard he couldn't keep still. He'd keep scrolling, they took at least more than 15 pictures... But he got to one picture, where he stopped. They were both in it, Zayden was hugging him from behind as Key had forced him so he'd be inside the picture, as he was too tall. Kieran was smiling brightly at the camera, and Zayden... Zayden wasn't looking at the camera.
—He's. . . looking at me? —he thought.
In the picture, Zayden's face was squished against his own. His pupils dilated as he smiled, the light reflected on his eyes. He couldn't remember much as they both had one drink or another, but he remembered most of it.
He glanced over at his nightstand, reaching over as he'd grab something before he began to dial a number in the phone.
—Hello, Key —answered the Deer man.
—Hi. . . uh —he didn't know where to start.
—Is there a problem? —he'd ask.
—No, just doubting. Remember the new deal im in right now?
  —Yes, why?
—I was wondering. I know Killer's the leader and he has a business pass. But, since his gang came in too, what does that mean?
—Killer has the business and travel pass between the sectors, and part of his team came with him. . . Hm, let me check something —he spoke assertively.
Key waited for a minute as he'd hear typing, as if he was working with a computer or laptop.
  —Ah, there it is.
  —What? What'd you find?
—The members of Killer's team do seem to have passes, they're technically allowed in Prey City. They should have the information on their cell phones.
Key's eyes widened as his head was leaned down. Looking down at Zayden's keychain, his thumb caressing it meanwhile he spoke.
—So. . . they can legally come to Prey City, is that correct?
—Yes, but for now they're under Killer's Business Deal, and the only name listed in their trusted contacts is yours. That meaning, they can come to Prey City, but it could only be to do business with you.
—And. . . isn't it possible for them to just be here? Like, getting them to help me out with other things that you wouldn't really call business?
—They aren't technically breaking any rules, since they've got the pass, but they would be under your watch. You'd be fully responsible for them as you are the only contact they'd have in Prey City.
—Let me repeat what you said to see if I understood: they can be here, but they'd be under my responsibility if it wasn't for a business matter?
  —Exactly.
Kieran's tail began to wag slightly —So we wouldn't have to worry about you being here, huh? —he'd smile at the keychain.
—Wait, so do I technically have a pass too, then?
—You currently only have a business pass confirmed, if you'd like the traveling one, I could get it set up as well. Although, I don't think that would be necessary.
—Okay! I just wanted to solve that, thanks.
—May I ask, why were you wondering that?
—Just a random thought. Okay, bye!
  —Hold on.
  —Huh?
—Key, I haven't gotten any good news on the last deal you declined last minute, Im afraid they'll get mad, and im doing my best to defend your position.
  —Oh, uhm.
—If I have any news, I'll update you, that's all.
—. . .Thank you, im sorry.
—You don't have to apologize, im only doing my job. Have a good day, contact me if you need anything else.
  —Yeah, you too.
He'd hang up, inhaling as he'd sigh, his mood going down as he heard the last part. He lifted up the keychain as he'd caress it across his cheek. He liked the soft materials Zayden used, but it was really funny to him how someone so big-looking could do these sweet, tiny things.
—So Zayden could come here. . . and I wouldn't have to sneak him around. . . —he thought.
He'd lay down sideways as he faced the wall, extending his arms as the keychain laid in front of his face. He carefully looked at it, but the second he blinked, the keychain wasn't there anymore.
  —Huh?
Zayden laid in the spot where the keychain was, just like that one night he remembered clearly. He'd feel a shiver run down his spine as he'd blush a little, blinking again as it disappeared.
—That was way to close. . . —he'd look at the keychain. A smile formed in his face.
—Zayden junior, ya miss your dad? —he'd childishly talk to the object. —Yeah, I saw that look on your face.
He'd stop, sitting down as his hair messed itself up.
—Im talking to a fucking keychain, im going delusional.
