A newspaper suddenly flew past him, rapidly reading the title printed in red, "Prey saves his kind".
Another one flew by, a title in the same color portrayed, "Truth revealed by Prey".
"Croco D.Nile's untold side"
"Bunny lives to tell the story"
A hundred more flew past, as they never stopped coming and his eyes soon saw black only before he'd suddenly wake up.
Kieran gasped for air, his hand feeling his eye as he regained his vision.
—The fuck was that? —he mumbled to himself, startled. —I can't even sleep anymore.
He'd turn, grabbing his phone from the cold floor as he unplugged it. He'd open it, the time displayed-
Zayden. . . —he suddenly remembered, a message from him displayed on the home screen.
Zay-Zay: I've left before the guards changed posts, but it was really hard.
An attachment was sent too, he opened the picture as a faint smile formed in his face.
The picture displayed half of Zayden's body being held by Kieran's arms, both wrapped around him as Zay had his own holding his head.
He finally looked at the time, it was 7 am.
I still have time. . . —he thought.
He went on and texted Zayden. Only taking him a couple of minutes before answering.
K: sorrryyy, did u get caught?
Z: Nope, was too fast.
K: as expected
Z: you feeling okay?
K: if you mean better than yesterday, then yea, just had a weird dream
Z: whats up?
K: paper attacked me
Z: yeah, love when that happens to me.
K: omg shut up, anyways wyd?
Z: training arena, you can ask a guard to escort you there, we're in the obstacle area.
K: obstacle- how big is this fucking place??
Z: come and find out.

Kieran's jaw had dropped, as he didn't know this many places could fit inside this building. No wonder Zayden took so long to broom the entire place. But it was also a chance for him, he could use some movement as a distraction.

Zayden suddenly dodged the punching bag that flew straight to him, stopping it with the next swing he took.
—Ziera, you okay? —he asked, looking over at her as the instructor tried teaching her a new move.
—I need a break —she told the instructor, him leaving after responding. Ziera walked over to Zayden, groaning in exhaustion. —I can't do it, Zay. I don't know why but I can't learn the move!
—You'll get it eventually, im sure —he ruffled her hair.
—When's that? —she began hitting Zayden in a joking matter. Zayden blocked her moves using his palms.
—Don't know, but if you hit so soft it won't get you anywhere —he teased her.
—How's this for soft?! —she kept hitting him, chuckling a bit.
Zay and Ziera's ear twitched at the sound of the opening door.

—Thank you —they heard.
Both heads suddenly turned as they saw Kieran closing the door to the obstacle area, noticing them.
—Key! —Ziera waved, walking up to him in a fast pace.
Zayden's eyebrows furrowed, his gaze softening as he looked at him and Ziera.
—Hey, Ziera —he greeted her.
But Ziera was feeling extra friendly, so she raised her clawed hand up in front of Key.
—Come on, don't leave me hanging —she smiled, her smile muzzle-free.
Key sighed, high fiving her hand in return as her tail moved swiftly from side to side.
—What brings you here? —Ziera asked, both walking to Zayden.
—Oh, nothing, just wanted to see where you guys where at —he looked over at Zayden.
—Zay, say hi —Ziera bumped his shoulder, talking to him as if he were a toddler.
Zayden looked at Ziera weirdly before looking away and then back at Key.
—Hello, Key —he said in a neutral tone.
Hey. . . —he said in a gentle tone, faintly smiling as his shoulders briefly shrugged.
Zayden's hand gripped onto his pants.
