"it's not like it was before. It's grown alot. And I mean that's even if we can get in there. That place is crawling with those dogs" Hopper said. "Demodogs" Dustin corrected "I'm sorry what" Hopper asked "I said uh demodogs. Like demogorgon and dogs. Demodogs" Dustin babbled "How is this important right now" Hopper asked "it's not I'm sorry" Dustin answered looking away.
"I can do it" El said "I can help. If her abilities could open the gate then closing it with two of the same kind would be easier especially if it's grown" I said. El looked at me "are you like me" she asked and I nodded showing her my number "3" she said touching the tattoo. Bear and Lila did the same and El smiled "like me" she said again. "I could help too" Bear spoke and Steve and I shook our heads "No way. El going is bad enough I'm not putting you in harms way" I said "I won't let her either" Steve spoke. "plus if anything happens I need you here to protect Lila and the others. Your powerful Bear I need you here" he nodded and I turned looking at Hopper "I'm in"
"Even if they can there is still another problem. If the brain dies the body dies" Mike said "I thought that was the whole point" Bear and Max said at the same time "it is but if we're really right about this I mean if they close the gate and kills the mind flyers army" Mike started "Will's apart of that army" Lucas finished "Closing the gate will kill him" Mike said.
We all walked to Will's room "He likes it cold" Joyce said "What" Hopper asked "that's what Will kept saying to me. He likes it cold" she walked to the open window and shut it "We keep giving it what it wants" she said. "if this is a virus and wills the host then" Nancy started "then we need to make the host uninhabitable" I finished looking at the poor boy unconscious in the bed.
"So if he likes it cold" Nancy said "We need to burn it out of him" Joyce finished. "We have to do it somewhere it doesn't know this time" Bear stated. "Yea somewhere far away" Dustin said. Hopper picked him up "I have a cabin no one knows about." he walked outside telling Nancy and Jonathan how to get there.
I saw Steve and Nancy going through the stuff from the shed "You should go with him" He said and Nancy shook her head "I'm not leaving Mike" Steve stood up and walked over to Nancy picking up a heater "no one's leaving anyone. I may be a pretty shitty boyfriend but turns out I'm a pretty damn good babysitter" I smiled. Steve did have a way with kids especially Lila "Steve" Nancy started and he shook his head "it's okay Nanc. It's okay. I'll be fine I have Lark" I blushed and cleared my throat "were heading out" Steve nodded and come over as I walked out the house.
"Lark wait" Steve called and I stopped turning to face him. He pulled me into a hug "Come back to me please" he whispered and I nodded "As long as you keep yourself and my kids alive" he nodded and I crouched down to Lila and Bears height "if anything happens to me take care of each other. I will do my best to come back okay but we have to be prepared for anything." they nodded and hugged me tightly "I love you two so much" I said before letting them go and walking to hoppers car.
"Just be careful alright. I can't loose you again" Mike said to El "You won't loose me" She said "you promise" Mike asked and El nodded "promise." they were about to kiss when Hopper interrupted "El come on let's go" I rolled my eyes, he had great timing. I watched as Nancy, Joyce and Jonathan drove off then we left.
I placed my hand on El's shoulder "We can do this okay. I won't let anything happen to you" She smiled at me and nodded. "How you doing by the way" Hopper asked me and I chuckled "regretting coming back here. I should have never brought Bear and Lila here now we are in danger" he nodded.
"So we're not gonna talk about it huh" Hopper asked El "Talk about what" She asked "I'm just curious you know. Why all of a sudden you look like some kind of MTV punk" I chuckled and El didn't answer "I'm not mad kid. I just wanna know where you've been that's all" Hopper said again showing his caring side. "To see mama" El responded and I stared at her. We never had mothers in the lab "okay. How'd you get there" Hopper asked. "A truck" she said "A truck" Hopper repeated mortified. "A big truck" El elaborated.
