Once upon a time,
There was this girl in this world
Who knew nothing of the cruelties
Of this beautiful place called Earth
And then she saw her, just like a dream
Went to bed and dreamt of her in a secret garden
Just like Cinderella and her prince
And then she woke, but didn't find her fairy godmother
Who could, just from a flick of her wand
Give this girl her fairy tale.
But she still dreamt,
Because that's all there was to do,
She dreamt, in a ball gown dancing with her,
And then she woke again.
But this time it was different
This time, this beautiful planet
Showed her it's cruelty, it's ugliness
It showed her, how her love had loved another
And how her love was claimed by someone else.
Her heart broke like Cinderella's glass shoe
But alas, her imagination didn't die down
She dreamt and dreamt of her and her
Dancing around the fountains of Wonderland
And she never once did stop dreaming.
In the 'Ever After' they never did come together
But she still dreamt - "What if?"
Life is not a fairy tale,
And nobody has a fairy godmother to grant their wishes
So, she lived dreaming, unhappily ever after.
