CHAPTER 3

We had breakfast together. But it was quite frustrating as Ruby was just touching and clinging to her boyfriend while looking at Jean. God it was the sixth time she looked at him with her lustful gaze , I am so done with her now. How can she try to seduce my man, Jean didn't even bother to look at her, but she kept winking and biting her lips. Does she not understand that he is mine and how can she do this in front of her boyfriend. Unable to handle it anymore, I got up angrily, picked.my juice glass and threw it all over her dress.

"Bitch what the hell is wrong with you, why did you do this?" she screamed.

"Oh! dear Ruby I am so sorry it was a mistake; I was aiming at your face, but I missed it", I replied savagely.

The men kept staring at us silently. Ruby got up angrily and went to her room before giving me a death glare. Jack followed her. I turned to face Jean and our eyes locked. He got up came closer and leaned it to give me a peck on my lips.

"Amor, I think I just fell in love with you again" I chuckled on hearing his remark.

I am so elated to have him back but wait a minute. How did he come here and how did he know where I live.

"Oh god Scarlet stop thinking so much I will answer all your questions one by one" he answered with a smile plastered across his face.

"You read my mind again".

"You think so loudly so it is very easy to know what goes on in your mind."

He kept smiling and that smile was sending chills all over my body. I had to go to office, but I really didn't want to leave him after we met yesterday after so long.

I had already received ten messages from my boss informing me about the meeting on which the company's future depends or so they say.

Apparently, the D group of companies was interested in investing our company and the job of convincing them to trust our company fell in my hands. I took out my phone and began reading those messages again as Jean called someone and excused himself. He went to my room and was talking to someone. I could hear his voice but not the words.

Lastly, I heard him say "cancel it" to someone. Maybe he also had a meeting like I had but I would have never dared to call my boss and tell him to cancel it.

He wants to spend time with me clearly but cancelling the very meeting on which my future also depends is too much of a risk. I was debating on my options when he came to sit beside me.

"let's spend this day together" he said.

"I would have loved to but- "I got cut off with my phone ringing.

I glanced at the caller id and then looked at him and lip synced saying 'wait for me '. It was my boss, Steve.

On call:

"Hello, how can I help you sir?" I said after picking up the call.

"Hello, Ms. Grey I called to inform you that the meeting has been postponed".

"But why sir? "

"I don't know exactly but their CEO called to tell that they want to postpone the meeting. Are you coming to office?"

"No sir I would like to apply for a leave for today".

"Ok good have fun and take rest as you work like a robot in office".

"Yes, sir thank you" I said smiling widely and went back to find him.

He was siting on the couch in the living room and was searching something on his phone. I sat beside him and locked our arms together. Slowly I put my head on his shoulder and looked at his phone. He was literally searching for the best date restaurants in the city.

He is so cute. I touch his chin with my hand and turn his face towards me and pecked his lips, but he didn't let go and instead deepened the kiss. I could feel him smiling during the kiss. His hands roamed towards my waist pulling me closer to deepen the kiss while I kept my hands on his chest clutching his white shirt.

After a few moments we broke the kiss and linked our heads together.

"I am going to my house to change my clothes I will come back to pick you up so be ready I am coming at 10 am" glances at his watch "You have 1 hour to get ready bye"

He went out leaving me confused. He has this very bad habit of leaving people on cliff hanger and he did that to me now. Never mind , I went to have a nice bath.

Time skip

I have absolutely nothing to wear oh no! The next fifteen minutes I just keep experimenting with my clothes until I finally found the perfect one.

Later I put on some makeup and wore a necklace. Voila! I was ready. I checked the time it was 9:56. Shit I totally forgot about time while getting ready. I rushed downstairs just to be surprised by looking at the sight in front of me. 

He really does know how to make my heart skip beats.
