CHAPTER 9

Jean was playing with Declan and it absolutely touched my heart. I felt like I was looking at my future . I shaked my head to get my mind back to reality. I gave them both a warm smile and went to the kitchen to cook for dinner.
Time skip 1 hour

We all had dinner and I went to tuck Declan in my bed while Jean picked up a movie in the living room.
I went to the couch and sat beside me by placing my head on his chest. He had choosed 'My fault'. A newly released Spanish movie. A love story.

Again a surprise cause I would always have to force him to watch romantic movies. I smiled and snuggled more into his chest while he wrapped his hand around me.

Time skip 2 hours

"Nicolas Leister is so hot yaar" I said totally fan girling over him cause who wouldn't. He was every girl's dream guy.

Jean just kept looking at me with a blank stare and then as I was about to say more about Nick when he pinned me to the couch by grabbing my hands above my head with his right hand and leaned forward.

"Babe I can give you what he can't "

He said in his husky voice while staring into my eyes.

"Oh really what can you give me?" I said in the same tone playing along.

He leaned more closer our lips were touching but he didn't kiss instead he kept his left hand on my cheek.
"You are entering wrong territory dear"

He kissed me for a few seconds and broke it before I could kiss back.
He maintained the distance while dragging his hand from my face to my neck sending shivers down my whole body. He snuggled into my neck leaving wet kisses and sucking it.

We could have gone like that but right at that moment crying filled the room.
I pushed Jean and ran to my room to check on Declan.

He was crying continuously as if he saw a nightmare. I hugged him and patted him on the back slowly saying it's ok .

Jean was standing behind me and took Declan from my arms. He held him close to his chest and hummed slowly so that he would sleep again. Then he laid him on the bed and we slept with him between us. All those dirty thoughts in my mind faded at that moment.

Next day
Jean had left sometime early in the morning and he didn't even bother to inform me.

I took Declan with me to office and then went back to my cabin to start working for the day. Time went by and it was evening.
I was told to visit the construction of the D group of companies building.

They were making an underground chemical laboratory to make perfumes and our department had got that deal so here I was reviewing the site to measure certain things so that we can submit the layout for ventilation pipes in that lab.

By the time I left that building it was already night. As I was the only one in the lab , I took my time taking a look at everything properly cause afterall this was my best friend's and boyfriend's company.

The exit door led me to a dark alley and I had no idea where it ends to where it will lead me yet I started walking

The alley stinked of cigarettes and there were many of them on the street. A deep voice echoed through the walls and fear swept through my body. I was not alone.

' Don't give me bullshit I want you to find everything about that bastard's girlfriend I have heard that he came to this city because of her and then he made it hell for us killing our men and then crowning himself the mafia king I will take my revenge '

Nice, so in the middle of a dark alley at night I was accompanied by a mafia who seems to be dangerous. I turn back to return to the building but then I hear his words.
" That girl's name is Scarlet get me information about her and then kidnap her."

No no there are many girls with the same name as mine right. He must be talking about someone else. A chill ran through my spine and I was tempted to run away . Before I could run he noticed me and then pointed his gun at me .

His filthy eyes looked at me from top to bottom. He was an average looking man , and his arms were covered in tattoos. Lust covered his eyes and I knew that I can't escape what was coming for me now.

" Are you lost baby girl?" He said coming forward while pointing the gun at me.

He grabbed my chin harshly and was about to kiss me when I heard a gun shot . My vision started bluring as I fell down.
