CHAPTER 11

Rowan didn't bother to ask me questions on our ride back to my apartment and I was grateful for it.

I managed to say thanks after I got out from his car and then darted to my apartment and then my room.

I locked the door and sat on the floor.
I couldn't control my emotions anymore so I broke down.

After what seemed like an eternity I calmed down and made my way to kitchen to make something for dinner as I was feeling hungry but then memories of yesterday flooded into my mind.

Our sweet time in kitchen and then the steamy moment on the couch .

I needed to stop thinking about it.

  I put on my headphones after eating dinner and danced my heart out till my knees give away and my mind felt light.

A week passed by after that traumatic incident. I was on my way home in the evening after a tiring day at work. I hadn't contacted him yet and he didn't take any efforts either.

My thoughts took a hold on my mind again but before I could think more my phone rang.

On call:
'Hey Mom'
'Dear how are you we are missing you so much'

'I am missing you guys too please come here'

' are you fine why are you sounding so sad'

'Yeah mom I am fine ' I lied.

' ok as you say anyways I have a surprise waiting for you at your apartment. I had sent it so go check it quick'

' yup going there now '
I reached there just as she told me about the surprise.

I unlocked my door and I found my whole family waiting for me in the living room.

' surprise' they screamed.

I was so shocked that I could barely process what was going on.

My mom came up to me and hugged me breaking the spell of some kind that had me mute.

" how I mean why no I mean what are you guys doing here in my apartment , umm this surely is Seattle?"

Everyone started laughing at my dumb questions. I scanned the room and my eyes locked with hazel brown eyes.

You did this ? I mouthed at him and he simply nodded with one of his rare smiles that made me have a whole flock of butterflies in my stomach.

"Child he arranged for us to come here to meet you " my mother prompted .

That was really nice of him. I thought and then proceeded to hug and talk with my dad and sister as well.

Ruby was there the whole time and thank fully was not a nuisance. She had her best roommate act on and talked with my parents.

After ensuring that my parents are busy I pulled him in my room . He followed me without objection. As I closed the door I faced him.

" why did you do this for me ?"

" I figured you could use some company and I didn't want you to be alone." He said in a calm tone .

His eyes softened and he slowly moved towards me as he said

" I miss you Scarlet please come back to me "

' I missed you too'
