COMPLETE WITH YOU

CHAPTER 6

For those who think they have known enough ,trust me darling you don't know what is in store for you -

If Dean is the chairman, then his brother must be the CEO and the fact that Dean has only one brother it makes Jean the CEO. 

My mouth drops in shock. I look over at him only to find him standing with a smirk on his face. He offered me his hand and I dumb foundedly took it as I was unable to processes anything. He interlocked our hands and went towards the stage I tried to keep a smile plastered on my face while my mind cursed this man in all the languages for not telling me this earlier.

 This explains everything, him having expensive cars, booking private rooms and the makeup artistes he had sent which must have costs a bomb.  How could I forget the most important point. D group of companies, D as in Denver, Jean Denver. 

Why did he tell me this now and why is he taking me to the stage with him??

Just like adding salt to an injury he took a long route towards the stage. I had my princess moment while walking with my prince charming . If only he had told me before, cause no matter how much I try to hide the shocked expression off my face it does seem to show.  We finally reached the stage after what seemed like eternity well not technically .

My eyes landed on Dean when we climbed onto the stage, and I rushed of to hug him. It might sound weird but well I really didn't care about the employees sitting right in front of us when I hugged him. He might be their boss but before that he is my best friend. I wrap my arms around him in a friendly manner and he does the same. I can feel Jean shooting a dagger by his eyes in my direction.

"I missed you so much"

"I missed you too, I know that there are many questions in this little brain of ours and I would love to answer them  but for now let's face the company because they are waiting patiently for your dear boyfriend's introduction." He replied in his husky voice that I have come around to absolutely adore.

I stand beside my 'boyfriend' wait that sounds weird, while Dean proceeded towards the mic.

"It feels so great that everyone is present while I make this announcement, as it is already known that my brother and I have worked together to get this company where it is today. Till now my brother was the chairman of our company's Florida branch but as we have found a suitable new chairman for that company, I am more than delighted to give my brother to you all as the new CEO of this company. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you all Jean Denver the CEO of D group of companies." We hear clapping and cheering sounds as Jean goes towards the mic. 

"Hello everyone, I am Jean and I look forward to working with you all" he said this in a cold voice. 

That man is bad at small talk. A part of me was expecting that might something more but in his case keeping expectations gets you nowhere. He came back to stand beside me and gave a small smile know to man for the cameras clicking. I was still confused but kept smiling as the camera men kept telling us to do different poses. After the photo session Dean led us to a private cabin on a tree house that overlooked the gala.

"You both must consider improving your public skills or else you might as well spend millions of dollars to stay alone. Private cabin at the party you both hosted is a bit too much. We should go down and greet everyone, it would be so fun." They both just chuckle at my statement. These rude men I say.

"And you" I point my finger at Jean as he locks his eyes with me. "How many more surprises are there in store for me huh?"

"You both can talk later; first Scar sit down let me explain everything from my point of view." I sit down as he instructed while Jean kept shifting his gaze from me to his brother while holding a champagne glass. I snatched that glass from him and gulped it in once.

 I need alcohol to gulp whatever they are going to say. I realize I must have said it loud as they both start laughing loudly. 

Two men with husky voice laughing loudly, what more do we need to make us flutter girls. I shake my head ,gosh I need to stop talking to myself.

"So, I will start, you already know that I had taken business management as career option, after completing my studies I decided to work as a highly paid employee at a few companies to earn enough money to buy a company of my own. I knew very well that starting a company on my own from scratch would take a lot of time to make it successful. I invested in various kinds of fields like construction, designing, and the one you love the most entertainment." 

He suddenly stopped and it struck to me later that he had hesitated.

"After gaining profits I finally bought the small time Trevor  company in Florida  and made it my own D group of company as in Denver group I raised it to great heights easily as the foundation had been already laid. The rest is present on google also, that D group of companies has different kinds of business-like press, infrastructure, cosmetics and mainly entertainment. I got help from the unexpected. It was not a one man's job so the CEOs of all the companies I had invested in earlier formed the board of directors. And your boyfriend was my emotional, financial, physical, and psychological support. Without him and my parents pushing me forward I couldn't have done this." 

Too much to handle just as I thought. After opening up Dean decided to greet the guests so he excused us. Jean didn't speak anything and just kept staring at me . While my brain felt proud for Dean and him to have accomplished the impossible it really ached in my heart that I wasn't there to support them both. The whole time Dean spoke I had this feeling that he is hiding something . One thing kept bothering me though why did he hesitate when he told me about the fields he had invested. 

Is there something dark behind his story of success that I am yet to find out????
