"Smile girl, you look like you're attending your own funeral." Shaira told me as she fumbles with my hair. We are currently at the reception hall, more specifically inside one of the private rooms processing what just happened. Tons of guests are being entertained outside and Cole is most likely handling everything just fine without me there but I can't hide in here forever.

"You didn't even try for your own wedding day." She commented on my rather, normal appearance.

I continued to look forlornly wishing I could be anywhere but here. It took about two months for everything to be finalized, it would have taken longer if I didn't insist on a very simple and private wedding. The only ones that were present to witness the wedding are my grandfather, Cole's parents and of course the bride and the groom.

I didn't even bother going through the trouble of prettying myself up for this. I showed up wearing a white dress that stops just after my knees, my bouquet of flower and my glasses. Yes, I am well aware that I look like an old lady. And yes, they probably judged me for showing up like that. Yes, I know they are aware that I can do better since they've seen me try. Do I care? No. Should I? Probably. But why am I doing this?

Well it is a necessary preventive measure that I have to take. Cole wasn't drunk when something happened between the two of us, he will probably remember the glamoured up version of myself if he sees a glimpse of that again. I also moved the hell out of that building and sold my previous condo before Cole finds out. He probably won't look for the me that night, he's in love with another woman for crying out loud, but just in case he does.

"Let's get you fixed. Come here," Shaira said as she takes out her make up kit. She looks prepared for this, like she knows that I needed to be fixed.

"No!" I panicked while Shaira looked at me as if I'm acting insane. "I'm sorry I don't know what's wrong with me," I explained to appease her curiosity.

She seems to be deep in her own thoughts as she quietly looked on. Shaira opened her mouth to say something but eventually changed her mind. Then finally, she said something. "What's wrong?" She asked and waited for me to answer.

I wanted to tell her then about everything, but some things are better kept a secret. I plastered on a smile and told her that I don't want my future husband to fall in love with me. Ha, funny me.

Shaira kept insisting on fixing my face and hair, fortunately I managed to ran away from her. She decided to run after me so here we are running around in circle inside this room. Shaira was able to remove my glasses and loosen my hair from its tight bun. Just then, the door swung wide open revealing my husband.

"You didn't lock the door?" I whispered to Shaira, covering my face using my hair in the process.

Cole kept looking at me trying to figure something out. Finally he spoke, "There's no point in hiding you know, I already saw you. Come out when you're done, everyone's looking for you." He left after saying so closing the door after him.

I let out a sigh, relieved that he didn't figure things out. Or did he? I shook my head to clear such thoughts away. There's no point in dwelling on it, I shouldn't care about it anymore. So what if he remembers? He'll probably pretend he doesn't since he's already with someone else.

"Don't tell me you'll go out and face the giants looking like-" Shaira made a grand gesture towards my head toy chin. "Like this."

I sat down in front of the mirror and decided to let her do her trick. "Fine, do your worst." I hear myself saying.

She yelled in joy and took out her "magic" kit. "First we'll get rid of your glasses. Do you have your contacts with you?" she asks.

"No,"
