Two sides to me

I walked down to the dungeons, feeling sort of scared and angry at Lily. When Professor Slughorn welcomed us into our potions class, I found out that Lily wasn't sitting in the spot next to me but the one next to James.

Sirius must have noticed this too because he quickly found a spot next to Remus and sat down.

"Now, if you could all give me your homework sheets," Professor Slughorn said.

We formed a line in front of Slughorn's desk where he collected our homework. As soon as I handed my sheets in to Professor Slughorn, I took a seat next to a fellow Slytherin.

Once he had all of our homework, Professor Slughorn told us to start cooking up our Sleeping Draught. I opened up my book straight away and flipped to the Sleeping Draught page where dozens of words where crossed out and instead had the proper instructions on top.

Lily who was at the other side of the room had edited her instructions too but she had chopped the ginger root too thick and her potion was a bright orange. I had suddenly had a strange feeling come over me. One side of me was furious at Lily for being so mad at me for no reason and the other side just wanted to apologise for whatever I did.

Just as I was about to add the wolfsbane into my cauldron and make a grand purple steam rise from my brew, a boy with black messy hair and circle-rimmed glasses came strutting into the dungeons with a confused but happy smirk. Great, I thought as I dropped the wolfsbane into my potion, I was up to the good part of the potion and then James Potter comes strutting into the class and then he takes away Professor Slughorn's attention from me. He looked so pleased and then that git James starts coming in and Slughorn ignores me completely!

I stared at James as he plonked his bag next to Lily, oblivious to the fact that she looks absolutely furious at him. He wants to be her boyfriend but he can't even notice when she's upset!
