The calm before the storm
It gets such a bad rep
and i wonder why.
Maybe because of the storm that happens after, or maybe it's the tone it gives off. It's a melancholy calmness,
A muggy warmth with brisk breezes of chill
A moment of claiming with brisk moments of adrenaline. It's a nomans land between peace, and anger.
The sun fades away as the clouds move in.
The warmth subdued, the cold tiptoing through. The moment of silence leaves everything still
Then the winds pick up, bringing everything to thrill.
The grass sways, and the trees dance.
The wind chimes as the shed creaks.
All signs of an awful storm...
Yet it's all so beautiful in its own melancholy way.
Because the sun before has told you that it's been a good day.
