I step out the principles office angerly. What kind of person does she think she is? Signing me up for shit I didn't even ask to be apart in. Now I have to spend Monday through Friday with a girl I barely know. Awkward and trouble could literally be my middle name. The girl Emilia, it's hard to ignore her. When she enters a room it's like she's a disco ball and were just revolving around her. Like she's the center of life, just how the earth revolves around the sun.Emilia Grimaldi is the sun and we all know it.
The girl seems nice enough I'm just hoping maybe this will actually benefit me. For years I've been bad at math and every year I'm assigned a tutor. As you can see none of them have helped. Now here I am as a junior still struggling in math. Trust me this is not how I planned my junior year. Who knows maybe Emilia will be the person go break the curse. For now all I can do is wait until Monday.
The recent announcement took a toll on my mood so I skip the rest of first period. Luckly I took my bag when I got called into the office so there was no need to go back and get it. I spend the rest of time sitting on a staircase with my legs sitting infront of me while my back is to the wall. I lean my head back against wall and take out my headphones to quiet out my worries for the week. Welcome to the jungle by Guns N' Roses starts playing. My body relaxes as I wait for this period to end.
2 entire playlists later the bell rings for lunch. I myself don't get lunch, I just steal something from my buddy Lennox's lunch tray. Even if I don't get lunch I still wait for Lennox and Kane to get lunch. I make it to the cafeteria and sit down at the usual table I sit at while I wait for them. My eyes scan the lunch line for them, my eyes coming to a stop once I find the idiots. My body visually relaxes as I lean back in my chair with my arms crossed.I sit up once they make there way over to the table I'm seated.
" Why grumpier today?" Lennox asks immediately when he sits down. Am I really that easy to read? I'm going to have to work on that. " Stupid principle assigned me a new tutor unwillingly" I resist the urge to roll my eyes once the topic is brought up again.
"Sorry man. Who's the new tutor?" Kane asks laughing,trying to lighten up the mood.Kane is the jokester of the group. He somehow always make a person laugh or smile no matter what mood you are in.Which can be a good thing but in serious situations, not really. But hey I wouldn't trade him for anyone else. Just don't tell him that.
"The new girl ,Emilia Grimaldi" Gosh even her name sounds fancy coming out of my mouth. "Oh yeah the dudes history were talking about her" He brings up her new found popularity.
"I gotta admit she's something, she'll probably have a boy a her fingertips by the end of the week" Lennox adds, taking a bite of the lunch they served today. At the mention on her name I can't help for my eyes to land on her. My eyebrows furrowing when I see she has strawberries in hand while she drinks her coconut water. If I do recall correctly she said herself cheese fries are her favorite which is what they're serving today.I wonder why she chooses to eat strawberries over her favorite meal. I continue to look past it and center myself in the conversation again.
