CHAPTER 17

As the month came to an end, the work load increased. They had projects coming up, its presentation, research topic thesis, assignments and their first internals were on the way as well. They were currently in the seminar hall, preparing for their upcoming presentations  on project.

'You see, there will be many methodologies already implemented for a concept. Your study should be in a way that makes you understand the existing methodology thoroughly. Once you understand the "existing system", you should proceed with thinking about what can you do to make this existing methodology more reliable. For example, take an e-commerce website. Basically any e-commerce site is user friendly, but if you think as a developer, it can be made more reliable if the site is made available in regional languages. Making it available in many other languages will be said as "proposed system". This entire process is called "Literature Survey"'. Zayn was explaining the basic terminologies and concepts to Liam and Paul. Some boys were surrounding them as well. 

Harry was sitting opposite to Zayn on the same table diagonally.  He was frowning plus pouting since he was lagging in his work. He was supposed to complete his study on their research, so that they could discuss it today and make the weekly report by consolidating major key points as today was the last day for submission. But Harry spent most of the week wasting his time doing random stuff. He had already did his research on his project, so that was not a issue. But this 2 member team research caused one. After their second date, Harry was so distracted while doing his tasks. Whenever he tried concentrate on completing his tasks, he would recall the events and  after 5 or 10 minutes of working he would re-imagine them again and again and by the time he comes out of his trance, he looses his interest and quits working . 

 During engineering days, his work completion was always at last moment but with perfection. But being in a relationship with a perfectionist did not favour him. Like completing work few hours before the deadline was a dumb way to get in trouble with Zayn. Zayn on the other hand reminded Harry few times about his work, but he made excuses. Nonetheless Zayn was being patient with him but today he couldn't.

Harry used his boyfriend trick by showing him his cute pleading eyes to convince him in the beginning but Zayn did not agree. He scolded him nice and good for being irresponsible. Then Harry came up with the idea and requested Zayn to give him 1 hour meanwhile he can begin adding his points in the report. Zayn agreed and eventually  completed within 30 minutes. Hence here they were, Zayn explaining concepts and Harry trying to complete his task.

'what if my idea is something new, no one has ever implemented it. In this case how will the literature survey work?', a guy named Tim asked

'well in that case your survey will be on that particular concept. It involves the thorough explanation of the concept, how and where you will use it. Basically your research becomes the first literature survey for that particular concept', Zayn explained easily.

Harry was eyeing them time to time. He never dared to look at Zayn though. He was anticipating his mood based on his voice. In the corner he saw Louis and Niall working. He wondered how Niall is balancing all these. He made mental note to ask him about it. Zayn's explanation was pretty easy to understand and everyone found it easy. They continued throughout the period.

When the siren rang indicating end of the day, harry was done with his case study. Now the only part that was left was consolidating it and making the report. He quickly packed his bag, took his library books and walked towards Zayn.

'Thank you Zayn, your explanation helped a lot', the same guy Tim said smiling. Harry frowned at him as he reached. Zayn nodded at Tim giving a short smile.

When Zayn turned towards Harry to talk to him, their friends bid them bye and left.

'I, I...', Harry began.
