- Reader's POV -
"Yeseo isn't who she says she is," Eunchae continues, her eyes locked onto Garam's. "She's been lying to us this whole time, and I think she's involved in something dangerous." Garam's mind spins with questions as Eunchae's words sink in. Who is Yeseo really, and what could she be involved in? And why did Eunchae choose to confide in her?
Eunchae must have her reasons for telling her this, and Garam is determined to find out what they are. She nods slowly, trying to process everything."What do you mean by 'something dangerous'?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper. Eunchae sighs, "Let's talk about this later.. More.. Privately." and Garam just nods understandably.
They can't discuss this in the middle of the streets.. Especially around Hanni and Wonyoung. Not right now at least. "Who was that girl anyway? And why was she all over miss vampire?" Wonyoung raises her eyebrow really confused by what she just witnessed. "She's just a classmate." Eunchae muttered. "But hey, Let's hurry up. You don't want to be late on your first day now, huh?"
"Actually, it doesn't really matter. But I just noticed something crazy! You and Hanni look crazily alike! Almost like siblings." The hamster notices, "I do not look like an IPhone." The youngest of them all crosses her arms. "It's kind of true though, the two of you could pass as siblings.." Garam agrees.
"Whatever, you humans know nothing..!" Eunchae mutters.Garam chuckles at Eunchae's comment. "Well, maybe we don't know everything about the supernatural world, but we can still observe and make observations," she says, nudging Eunchae playfully. "Plus.. it's not a bad thing to look alike. You both are pretty." Hanni and Eunchae both blush at Garam's compliment, grateful for the change of subject.
As they walk down the street, Garam can't shake off the feeling of unease that Eunchae's words had brought. She's curious about what kind of danger Yeseo could be involved in, and whether or not they should involve the authorities. But before she can even say anything, Eunchae pulls her aside, gesturing towards a quiet alleyway.
"Okay, we can talk here," she says, her voice low. "I'm sorry for dropping that bombshell on you earlier, but I needed to tell you. Yeseo is not who she says she is. I've been doing some digging, and I found out that she's involved with a group of vampires who are up to no good."
Garam's eyes widen in shock. "Vampires? But you're a vampire too, Eunchae," she says, her voice tinged with confusion. "How are you different from them?"
Eunchae takes a deep breath, her eyes darkening with a sense of sadness. "I'm different because I don't believe in hurting humans," she says, her voice firm. "But this group that Yeseo is a part of, they're different. They believe that humans are nothing more than food, and they're willing to do anything to get what they want."
Garam's mind races as she takes in Eunchae's words. She had always known that vampires existed, but she had never thought about the darker side of their world. "But isn't Yeseo a human..? What do we do now?" She asks, her voice shaking slightly.
Eunchae sighs, "Yes but.. She's smart. And they trust her.. She knows how to manipulate people." Eunchae puts a hand on her shoulder, her eyes softening. "We need to be careful, and we need to gather more information," she says. "I don't want you or anyone else to get hurt because of Yeseo's actions. We'll figure this out together, okay?"
Garam nods, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She may not know what lies ahead, but she knows that she can count on Eunchae to be there for her, no matter what. "Okay, I trust you. What should we do next?"
"We need to keep our eyes and ears open." Eunchae says, her gaze intense. "But for now, I want you to be careful and not try to do anything by yourself. We'll have to act like we're friends with her, okay?" Garam nods once more, she's impressed by Eunchae's strategies and the way she plans things.
"I have some contacts within the vampire community who might be able to give us more information. But we need to be careful, and we need to make sure that we're not being followed or watched." The younger girl states seriously.
Garam nods, feeling a sense of determination growing within her. She knows that this won't be easy, but she's willing to do whatever it takes to protect herself and her friends. "I'm with you," she says, placing a hand on Eunchae's shoulder.Eunchae smiles, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Thank you, Garam. Together, we can do this." They exit the alleyway and rejoin the rest of their friends and shortly, they reach school.
As they walk towards the entrance, Garam can't help but notice the stares and whispers of the other girls around them. She turns to Eunchae and sees that she's also attracting a lot of attention. It takes her a moment to realize that it's because of the outfit that Eunchae is wearing. But as they walk through the school gates, she can hear the whispers and murmurs of the other girls around them.
"Did you see what Eunchae is wearing? She looks so hot!"
"I know, right? I wish I had the guts to dress like her."
"Damn, I can't believe that Euncrap actually has some fangirls other than Gayram." Wonyoung says, slightly surprised and a little bit confused. "Gayram? What does that mean?" Eunchae furrows her eyebrows. "Huh!? Did you just call me Gayram!?" Garam exclaims.
"Wonyucky! What the heck does Gayram mean?" The vampire continues to question, really confused by the word 'Gay'. "So you see-" Garam interrupts Hanni in the middle of her sentence. "Gay means happy! Yes.. Happy!"
"Oh uhm.. I am so gay!" Eunchae exclaims excitedly as she throws her hands in the air. Wonyoung bursts into laughter and so does Hanni. "I almost forgot.. We have a presentation today.." Garam pinches the bridge of her nose. "Oh! Ipham helped me out earlier, so I know exactly what to present! I've prepared a lot!"
"That's great! What's your presentation about?" Garam asks hoping for a good response from the younger girl, "That's a secret." Eunchae sticks her tongue out slightly, winking. "I'll just make one about fashion or something.." Wonyoung mutters. "iPhone's probably going to talk about math or something."
"Actually, the subject I'm going to present is quantum physics! It's a very interesting subject to discuss and-" Wonyoung interrupts Hanni. "No! No don't start with the science and math talk!"
As Garam turns to Eunchae to ask her about the presentation, she notices that her friend's eyes are fixed on something ahead of them.
Following her gaze, Garam sees a group of students gathered around a notice board, chattering excitedly.Curiosity getting the better of her, Garam makes her way towards the notice board with Eunchae and the others trailing behind her.
As she approaches, Garam sees that the notice board is covered in flyers advertising a talent show, to be held in the school auditorium next week. Garam's heart starts racing as she reads the details of the talent show.
This could be her chance to show off her singing skills, and maybe even win a prize. She turns to her friends, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Guys, we should totally enter this talent show!" she says, grinning from ear to ear. Hanni nods enthusiastically, "That's a great idea! What do you want to sing, Garam?" She asks.
Garam thinks for a moment, her mind racing through all of the songs she knows. "Hmm.. I'm not sure.." Eunchae and Wonyoung exchange a knowing look, and Garam wonders if they're thinking the same thing as her. They could use this talent show as a cover to gather more information about Yeseo and her vampire group.
As they walk towards their classroom, Eunchae pulls Garam aside. "I think we could use this talent show to our advantage," she says, her voice low. "We can keep an eye on Yeseo and her friends while we're there, and maybe even gather some intel."
Garam nods, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness at the prospect of going undercover. "Okay, let's do it," she says, her voice firm. "But we have to be careful, and not let anyone suspect us."Eunchae smiles, "Don't worry, Garam. I've got this all under control."
She winks at Garam, and the two of them head towards their classroom, ready to plan their next move.
