- Garam's POV -
"That was too much work." Eunchae murmurs as she cracks her knuckles. "I know, I'm sorry." I apologized, Eunchae raises an eyebrow. "Sorry? For what?" I sighed softly before staring at the ground beneath my feet. "It felt like I wasn't much of help, Eunchae."
"But, unnie there's no way you could do anything to defeat those vampires! you're a human so is Hanni, and also Wonyoung.. They're half human.. But you get the point." Eunchae explains, slightly shocked by what I said.
"Still, I wanted to help. But I couldn't and it felt wrong not being able to do anything but stand there and watch.." I huffed rubbing my arm. Eunchae just stares at me with a concerned look on her face, almost looking bewildered.
"But, unnie... You can't do anything about that, I'm the only person here who's a vampire. I know how my own people think, how they act, what they can do, and what they can not do." Eunchae looks into my eyes, her red eyes piercing through my soul, I gulped slightly avoiding eye contact with the younger girl.
"E-Eunchae..?" She doesn't reply, I open my mouth to say something but she cuts me off. "You can't help in battle, but you've helped me with other things. With blood.. With living." She licks her lips as she speaks, a smile appearing on her face.
"You did your best, unnie, and I'm grateful for that." Eunchae's voice lowers, she sighs before continuing. "I don't care about anything other than you being there, helping me out." She stops in her tracks. I raise an eyebrow, wondering what she's going to say next. "What? What do you mean by that?" The way she says things is so compassionate.
She giggles softly and shakes her head, "Oh, nothing~"as she shoves her hands into her pocket. "No, not 'nothing', tell me." I pout, grabbing her hand and squeezing it lightly.
"Well, I just like being around you, unnie. You make me happy and I want to be with you." Eunchae explains, I blink slowly as I try to register her words. "So I was wondering if maybe-"
"Yes!"
Eunchae turns to me a surprised look on her face. "Y-Yes..? To what? I was gonna ask if you wanted to go to a botanical garden with me tomorrow. Cause I really wanna see the chersie blossom trees." Eunchae blushes, her pale skin turning rosy pink. So cute.
"Sure! I would love to go." I smile softly, "Gosh, that's awesome." Eunchae smiles back at me, she looks up at me and stares into my eyes. "W-What?" I murmur, my own cheeks beginning to turn pink. "Nothing, it's just that you're really cute, unnie." Eunchae giggles, I blush harder as I try to come up with a witty comeback but I just can't seem to speak anymore.
"C-Can we uhm, go back? The sun's starting to set and I don't like it when you're not with me. Especially with vampires nearby... I'm afraid they'll catch us and drain us both.. Even though you're a vampire too. It's weird but I still want to protect you and make sure you don't get harmed in any way." I said, embarrassed.
Eunchae smiles softly, "Yeah, let's go home. I bet that Hanni and Wonyoung's waiting for us too." I sighed, relieved that she had agreed to go back home. "I want to watch the stars though.. Can we do that too..?" She asks, I look at her and nod. "Sure, if that's what you wanna do." I smile, Eunchae tilts her head and smirks at me. "Just for a little bit right?" She questioned.
"Yeah.. Just for a little bit, Euncha- aaahh!" I was cut off by her suddenly grabbing my arm and pulling me up as she started climbing one of the high buildings that littered Seoul. "E-Eunchae!" I hissed, grabbing on to her to prevent myself from falling.
