ONCE the plan was explained, they moved on to the Crest and while Mando went to make sure that the droid knew what to do. Velia stayed behind, settling next to the compartment where the Child was resting.

She wasn't thrilled by the idea of engaging with the New Republic, nor to be partnered up with this despicable group of uncivilised idiots.

Such as Burg.

The giant paced around, until he smashed his way through the control panel nearby, opening the weapon storage. He chuckled, ready to reach for one of them but was stopped as Velia reached forward and pulled him away.

The devaronian growled and stared down at her, visibly fuming with rage.

"Don't." she gritted out, doing her best to stay composed. Losing her control onboard the Crest, didn't sound like it would have a great outcome.

She heard the storage close, as Din finally joined them, taking off the crew's heated gazes away from her at least for the time being.

The Mandalorian didn't take his gaze off of Burg, as he snarled and this time reached for the panel responsible for opening the compartment where the Child was safely tucked away.

This time, Din handled him as he gripped Burg's arm, forcing it away. The devaronian snarled at that, turning to face Din and clearly got ready for a fight that he wasn't prepared for.

Velia watched but her hand was ready to draw one of her daggers. She wanted to give Din a chance to handle the situation, but if need be... she wouldn't hesitate to come to his aid.

Before the tensions could rise further, Mayfeld intervened yelling out "Hey, hey, hey! Okay, okay, I get it. I'm a little particular about my personal space, too." he eyed Velia for a moment, clearly noting where hand was resting "So let's just get this job done. We go in, we get out, and you don't have to see our faces anymore. And neither we your... mysterious getups."

Burg huffed "Someone tell me why we even need a Mandalorian and his... little mousey."

"Well, apparently they're the greatest warriors in the galaxy. So they say." Mayfeld stated, before bringing his focus back to Velia as he added "And she uh... yeah, tell me sweetheart. Why do we need you? Surely Mando's enough."

Velia stared at him, hand never wavering from where it rested "Perhaps, I'm here to pick up your slack, sweetheart."

Mayfeld whistled while Xi'an chuckled, as her eyes trailed down Velia's body. Her gaze was haunting, making Velia feel as if she were the prey that the twi'lek slowly circled.

She didn't like it. It felt all too familiar, and too soon after all that happened.

The air grew thick and cold, but it seemed to leave Velia alone, unfazed. Or rather, it left her overwhelmed by a surge of unleashed hatred towards all passengers.
