"I promise I'll keep myself out of danger, Vinz. And Chidi will remain by my side. You know my chances of dying are low anyways, so what are your reservations, really?" Nova pleads with Vincent as he wrecks their lunch table in the hall after dismissing everyone.
He stops after swiping everything off of the table. Novalie approaches her Grinch, sitting on the table and grabbing his hand to lead him to stand in between her legs, waiting patiently for him to give her permission to go.
"This whole year, the longest we've been apart was two days, when the high table called for an emergency meeting." He says, sighing.
"You still never told me where that was." She says, trying to lighten the mood. He flicks her forehead. There's a pause.
"I forbid you from coming face to face with John Wick. If you even think you see him, you run, play dead, hide, anything, do you understand?" He whispers finally. She pulls away from him.
"You don't think I can take him?" She teases. He glares at her when she laughs.
"I promise." She says, hopping off of the table and leading him to their room.

Novalie watches as two maids pack her bags for her trip. Deciding to change into more comfy clothes for the flight, she walks into the closet grabbing the clothes and moving to the mirror, taking off her top. Vincent steps into the room.
"Leave," he tells the two maids who now wait patiently with Nova's suitcases, zipped up and ready for the plane. They scurry out with the luggage. Nova waits as he walks up behind her, glancing over her shoulder, pulling something out of his pocket. A necklace with his crest on it, a beautiful royal blue gemstone rests in the middle. He puts it around her neck as he speaks.
"You are there to be the voice of our family. The power of The High Table will be yours to wield while you are there. You will use it well, I'm sure. Remember to hold your head high..."He smirks.
"...For me. I know how shy you can be." He smirks, grabbing at her chest with both hands as her blush spreads.
"I will, Vincent." He groans as she leans her body into him.
"We've never done this before," He says, staring at her body as he teases it, his eyes following his now roaming hands.
"What the hell was I thinking?"
"I thought we were done." She whines, still looking in the mirror. He fiddles with her pants, pushing them down her legs and kneeling next to her, his eyes hold hers in the mirror as he hitches her leg onto his shoulder.
"Never." He smilse.

Caine listens from the plane as Vincent and Novalie say their goodbyes, I love yous, and share their kisses. Grunting in disgust, he hears a chuckle.
"What's so funny?" He glares in their direction.
"You are so bothered by them, yet you do not know her. Unless you do, but she doesn't know you, and that makes you angry." Chidi attempts to make fun of the man, although he himself is confused by all of these people that suddenly know her.
"Yeah, I know her." He says. Chidi leans forward in his seat.
"How?" He asks.
"Let's just say, The Ruska Roma have connections with everybody." He says cryptically.
Chidi relaxes in his seat. That is true, she was the best dancer The Ruska Roma had, and a great assassin. People are bound to know who she is. At least it was not what he was thinking. But why do they stare with such wonder and adoration?
Novalie enters the plane then, watching as Caine swats Chidi out of the seat across from him.
"Please, child, sit with me." Caine smiles as Nova complies, sitting on the cushion and bundling up with her book for the long flight.
"Spaghetti and Meatballs with Garlic Bread. At The Marquis' request, miss." The flight attendant presents her food. Nova's heart melts as she remembers their first date.
"Your favorite?" Caine asks bitterly, at first smiling until The Marquis was mentioned. Novalie laughs and Caine's smile reappears.
"Yes. We made it together for our first date." She smiles at the memory.
"Vincent hates it, but I told him if he didn't think he could do it I would go back to The Ruska Roma. He agreed immediately." Caine's ears perk up at this information.
"Why did you leave? It was... safe." Nova looks at him, wondering if she really should say.
"Before Vincent was The Marquis, he was a nobody. After a mission, he spotted me in an Opera House as he was passing through the city. He watched me dance for hours until the sun rose. And he decided, I would one day be his. He thought that without a name for himself, I would not want him." Caine's face fell in confusion.
"Why dance for so long?" Nova stares at him for a minute.
"It was a punishment. I had to dance from sunset to sunrise... I tried to access my file to figure out who my parents are." She answers finally.
"Hm." So close yet so far. Caine stays silent after that.
