"The property has everything you could want and need. A gym, pool, game room, etcetera. You can use them at any hour, all you'd like. There is a key card in your room that will give you access to these places and essentially all places you can go; including a dance room specifically designed for you. If there is anything you wish to change about it, please let me know..."

A lady, introduced by Chidi as Quinn, leads me around the biggest mansion I'd ever seen in my life. (Driving to this house from the beginning of the property took almost ten minutes.) She takes me to a room in the east wing of the house, where I'm told some of the employees stay.

"You do have dinner with the boss tonight, but as nothing other than a new employee. You will not have the pleasure of doing so again, so make a good first impression, it will be exactly seven hours from now, so about nine. Wear normal clothes... Questions?"

"Who do I talk to about my nutritional needs?" She nods as she looks at a list on her notepad that seems to be molded to her hand by the way she held onto it as she threw her arms around while giving me the tour.

"Give a list of meals and their ingredients. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, variations of each. Update it as you like. Also list things you don't or can't eat."

"Do I have a schedule?"

"We will pull you away from whatever you are doing to prepare you for a performance. Sometimes you'll know hours, maybe days before, or he'll do an impromptu performance at three a.m. Hell, maybe he'll have you plan to perform for an entire day, who knows?" I nod along.

"My advice is to develop a regular schedule of whatever you need to do in a day to keep up your physical and mental wellbeing during performances, and the rest will work itself out. He may have you travel with him, but not much will change other than that." I take in all of the information with a sigh and a nod as we step into my room.

It fits with the decor around the house: grand, both 18th century and a few modern details, along with a balcony across from my bed. It's beautiful. I smile slightly.

"Thank you, Quinn." I say. She nods curtly before leaving. I walk to my new wardrobe and find all kinds of clothes, leotards, pointe shoes, workout gear, etc. I check the sizes of the shoes and realize they have my exact measurements. I furrow my brows, as I check the clothes too. Sure enough, everything is accurate to my size. Interesting indeed. I grab the pointe shoes, and an outfit to dance in, before looking in random drawers trying to find supplies to prepare my shoes. I find what I need in a few random cabinets and get to work.

I change into my outfit, and grab the key card on my nightstand.
It has my name, "Employee" ID number, and a chip that you touch to the doors you go through. Sighing once again, I head out of the room with the laptop that I understood to be mine as it was sitting on my bed, heading to find my apparent dance room. I find it hard to believe I'm the first dancer here, but something tells me I may be the only one, considering I haven't asked anyone if there are other dancers. Maybe I should do that.

I make my way around the house, hoping the room is near the gym, which is the only place I remember seeing on the way to my room. I make it to the gym space and look around the inside. There's random doors that I decide to explore with my key card.

I go around the left side, lazily scanning my card at each one with my shoes, laptop, and phone in my other hand. Low and behold it's the second to last door I scan, which would have been the second to my right, had I decided to scan those doors first.

I groan as I open the door, but gasp as I see the room. Chandeliers as lights all around the ceiling, dark brown walls, the windows at the ends of the room covered by beautiful curtains, mirrors lining the wall right wall, and a sitting area? I look to where the light switch would be and see the dimmer.

I smile and turn down the lights, sitting at the lone comfy chair that makes a small seating area, which won't be needed by me, but is appreciated nonetheless.

I put my pointe shoes on and walk to the barre, warming up for at least twenty minutes before attaching my phone to the speakers, and pressing play on my playlist. I start to dance to the music, mostly improv to random songs, some choreography. After a while, I realized...

I could get used to this place.

A few hours of dancing later, I do my ten minute cool down and stretches, and sit at the now convenient chair, going through my mind and the internet searching for different foods that fit my protein and calorie goals, organizing as best i can as to not confuse whoever the poor person is that will do the shopping. After I'm done, I check the time and jump out of my seat, running my ass up to my room. 8:05 p.m.... Dinner started five minutes ago.

Like lightning, I change out of my clothes into "normal" ones,(a sweatshirt and leggings,) and let down my hair, somehow making it look presentable as I also run my ass as fast as I can to the Marquis' grand dining room. sliding into the room and falling on my ass, I realize I only have socks on, no shoes.

"Fuck!" I lay down on the ground, forgetting where I am and who I am with, I slid my hands over my eyes, exasperated. I hear heavy footsteps and I freeze. My heart stops, and the footsteps stop. Whoever they belong to leans down to me. I'm dead. До свидания (Good bye) cruel world.
