Chapter 8:Hair and Makeup

There was one more day until Marisabelle's ball. I have started to teach her how to dance. She was pretty good at dancing. She hardly stepped on my toes. Now I was telling how she was supposed to speak to people and how you should look like. "Ok Marisabelle if you are meeting a royal you have to courtesy. Here watch me. " I bent down and pretended that I had a dress on. It's hard to courtesy as a mermaid, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy. Mariasabelle tried to courtesy but ended up falling on the ground. "It's okay try again. " She did this time she fell, but she was almost there. "Once more." She did and she didn't fall down, but her posture was wrong. "Come on Mariabelle lets work on your posture. "I put two books on her head. "Now start swimming around slowly. "

"Why do I need books on my head?" Mariasabelle asked

"They are just to help with your posture. "

"Okay. "

She started walking with the books on her head and they didn't fall off till for about five minutes.

"Good job. You did good. Now it's time to work on your courtesy. " Mariasabelle was able to make a good courtesy. "You can take a break for now. Soon you have to work on greeting your guests.

"Why can't I just say hi. Thanks for coming. "

"It's not proper. "

"My mom lets me get away with it. " Kayla says leaning against the doorway with one foot on the lining. She was wearing boots today.

"You haven't even host a ball. "

"Well you're right about that. "

"I bet you didn't even past your test for ball hosting. "

"Your also right about that. The only test a passed was self defense. Which is all I really only care about. I seriously that want to be someone's damsel in de stress. I want to fight for myself. "

"I don't mind anyone saving me. "

"Whatever. I won't get anywhere waiting for someone. "

"While I wait for somebody show me how you're going to Mariasabelle's hair and makeup. " It took Kayla about 30 minutes to do Mariasbelle's hair. Kayla made a hair bow for Marisabelle's hair. The thing I liked the most was how she made the tips of her hair appear in the bow. The outline of the bow was pink and red. The color of Marisabelle's tips. The rest of her hair was curled which made it make really nice. The makeup took about 5 minutes. Kayla didn't put much on since she is only a child. She put on some eyeliner and red and pink lipstick to match her hair.

"That looks nice. " I complimented."

"Thank you. "

"I love it. It makes me look like a princess. " Marisabelle exclaimed.

"You are a princess. "I said.

After that we had dinner. My parents knew that Kira had stars with Glade for the night and of course they were okay with it. Kira has been fun. She met Marisabelle today and she really liked the bow. Kayla wasn't there to see her. Kayla doesn't really like to go to places with lots of people even tough she does on the top store in the ocean. Well she is really the CEO. Kira and Marisabelle really got along. Kira ended up staying in the other guest room. Knowing Glade he didn't let go of her side. He really cares about her which I'm happy about because he is a really good boy friend. He kissed her good night and he shut the lights out. Of course Kira didn't want to Glade to go so he stayed with her for the whole night. How I know this. Well this isn't the first time this happened. I went to sleep and had a wonder dream filled sleep with my family having a very fun time with each other.
