"What do you see?" You spoke into your headpiece as you watched König through the scope of your sniper. You've been hidden from view on a cliff edge given the task as a backup from above in case anything went wrong from below.
This mission was your hardest yet given to you. You and Köing had a bad feeling going into the mission since the command didn't give you much information about it.
Grab documents and run.
"A few soldiers, two jeeps full of crates. There are two men stationed in front of the door as guards. Probably where they have the documents." He responded.
Köing was hidden behind a rock and waiting for your reply.
Shit. "How many do you see?" You looked through the scope counting 10 men plus the two guarding which made 12.
"Twelve. Let me know when you're ready."
You lined up your crosshairs on a man walking away from you. As you took a deep breath and exhaled. "Now."
The bullet pierced the first man's head, and König moved in. As quickly as possible, you picked off each man one by one while König took down the rest that was alerted by the building.
"You're left." König turned and shot the man who was sneaking up on him.
"Thanks, Snipps."
Snipps was the nickname König gave you when your name got popular in the military. You were known as Viper. The deadliest sniper in Germany. The woman who was feared in the sky and ground. Rumors said you were ruthless and cold-hearted. But you knew it was only the front you put up that they saw. All missions you completed were racking up, earning much respect from the men around you.
König was known as your right-hand man. The only one who was able to keep up and not be baggage to you.
You both trained together and completed multiple missions together over the past few years. You were unstoppable together.
"Advancing. I'm going to secure the documents, Viper."
"Affirmative. I got eyes on your exit."
You watched as he went into the building. The cold winter wind made you shiver despite having the proper gear on. A light layer of snow covered you, making you almost invisible on the cliff.
The snow wasn't heavy enough to block your vision in König's entryway. Sweeping the perimeter, you see the bodies accumulating snow and red dying pink. "See anything yet?"
"Multiple boxes. All look the same. What are we looking for exactly?" He asked.
"Look for anything dealing with cartels, gun supply, locations -"
"Found a folder and two CDs. Taking them and going."
You swiveled your gun back in time to shoot two men who were about to turn the corner on the door. "It's getting lively here. Make it to the perimeter, and I'll meet you at the forest line. I'm sure Captain will be pleased."
"Copy that. On my way."
"We need to check those boxes... I have a gut feeling something important is in them." His form emerged from the doorway and started to make its way to the Jeep that was closest to him.The box was unmarked, and the lid was easy to pop off.
König stopped moving, which scared you from where you were on the cliff. "König... What's wrong?"
"It... American missiles."
You froze, how the fuck did American missiles land in Russia? "Captain, we found missiles. American."
