The next morning hurt you emotionally. More than what you thought it would be.
It was the first time in years you have woken up without anyone you know. No Konig, No familiar faces, you couldn't see the beautiful forests of Germany every day.
You were homesick. You rolled over and looked at the ceiling above you. The night's sleep felt great, it was the first time in a while you fell asleep and got a good night's rest. As you sat up cracking your neck, you could hear someone whispering outside your door.
"I don't know. Maybe we should let her sleep." One deep voice whispered.
There was a huff, "Oh c'mon Gaz. Let's just give her a welcome!" Obviously it was Soap and Gaz.
You smirked and yanked the door open and were met with two pairs of wide eyes. "Good Morning."
Soap chuckled and scratched behind his neck, "Ha ha, Good Morning Y/N."
Gaz just smiled and gave a nod knowing that they just caused themselves a big load of embarrassment.
"Why are two men standing outside my door making a commotion," You ask and look behind you at the analog clock. "At 10 in the afternoon? It's not kind to disturb a sleeping person after they traveled halfway across the world."
Gaz cleared his throat, "Well we wanted to make sure you were doing okay. Naturally, moving across the world on a moment's notice isn't the most peachy situation."
They both nod and look at you with curious eyes. "I'm alright. Thank you."
The three of you stood there awkwardly until the door across from you opened up, revealing Ghost staring at the three of you. Your eyes fall immediately to his chest where he is only wearing a black shirt and beige cargo pants then trail back up to where his eyes were staring at yours with the case of bedroom eyes behind his black balaclava mask.
Your cheeks began to feel a bit warmer being as Ghost had yet to see you without a mask. It was quiet for a few moments before Soap interrupted, "Hey, now just because you haven't seen the lady's face doesn't mean you get to gawk at it forever there."
Ghost looked over to Soap and gave a glare before heading down the hall and more than likely to the Rec Room.
"Not a morning person I take it?" You question them looking at his figure disappearing into a doorway.
Gaz shakes his head, "Not at all. He never sleeps. We wish he would but it never happens."
You bite your lip and ponder on the sentence. "Really? Never? He has to sleep at some point Gaz."
"Other than when sleep deprivation gets to him but it doesn't last long," Soap says walking in the same direction Ghost did. "C'mon then. I'll make you some lunch since you slept through breakfast."
You closed the door to your bedroom and padded down the hallway next to Gaz, the both of you on the tail of Soap. As your walk, you realize you're the shortest one here but they aren't as tall as Konig... Mein amer Freund.
You sigh and enter the Rec room where Ghost had sat in the corner of the room sharpening a knife. Deciding to sit on the couch that was on the far wall of the room and get comfy watching Soap to make food.
Taking in your surroundings to listen to the bickering between the three of them and smile at the jokes they were making. Before you knew it Soap approached you with a plate of food. "Here you go, lass. A nice hot meal for the nice hot lady."
You raise an eyebrow and took the plate to see a nicely browned chicken with potatoes and a slice of bread, "Hot lady? Surely you're not talking about me."
