-APHRODITE-

The man skipped across the road and a car honked at him due to them nearly hitting him. He raised his hand in sorry as the drive honked and cussed at him on the busy street. It's nighttime and it's also raining. When Alexander reached the other side of the road he exhaled, wiping rain from his face.

He thought it a good idea to completely run away from his boss. He's not sure that she'd allow him to stay if he returns. Alexander carried along the sidewalk with his head down and hands in his pocket as he thought of what had occurred earlier. He cannot believe he allowed himself to do something like that.

It was too close for comfort. After another five minutes of walking in the rain he finally reached his destination. To be honest he prayed that she'd be here. Alexander raised his hand and knocked on the door. He can't believe he allowed himself to do something like that. He got too close for his liking. Alexander took a glance at the sky and finally the door opened.

Alexander gazed at the redhead standing in the door frame. Her red-orange hair is braided in two and she's dressed in a yellow night gown. He hopes he didn't disturb her sleep.

When Emma saw him, she couldn't believe her eyes. "Alex, what are you doing in the rain?" She asks, her voice filled with concern.

"Can I come in?"

"O-of course." She stepped to the side, letting the man inside of her personal home. He can't fathom the last time he's been here. Alexander took his suit jacket off by the door and exhaled.

"Hold on right here, I should have some spare clothing for you." He nodded and watched as she disappeared up the few numbers of stairs that lead to her room. Alexander exhaled a breath, thinking of Olivia. How could he get unprofessional?

Was it because of what he had heard when he was at her house? He pinched the bridge of his nose, not wanting to think about what he had heard that night, however his thought deceived him. He remembers getting up to get himself a glass of water, his room not being too far from hers.

He heard muffled sounds and got both worried and curious, maybe even too curious. The sound he heard from her room was like a siren's calling. And when he pressed his ear against her door that night, he wished he hadn't.

"Fuck...Alex...right there."

He thought he'd been hallucinating it all, but it was true, she was touching herself to him, and he heard it all. He stayed for it all, enjoying the sound of his name rolling off her tongue in a breathy, high pitch, manner.

And then today he caught her staring at him, something he always noticed prior to the night he had his mini adventure at night. However, only this time he had paid attention, noticing that her stares were that of pure adoration. Even so, he shouldn't have gotten close to her.

Emma returned to him with a towel for him to dry himself and a folded shirt and pants. Alex took them and gave the woman a kiss on the forehead.

"Thank you."

She blushed and nodded. "You can change upstairs as I make tea. Wouldn't want you to catch some sort of cold. He nods, making his way upstairs. It didn't take him that long to change and he tossed his wet clothes into her dryer that's in a hallway closet.

Alexander joined her to the table where she sat, waiting for the water to heat up. Emma cleared her throat, looking at the man across from her.

"What is it, Alex?" She finally asks.
