-SIMPLY CAN'T-

Olivia has seen the multiple posts about her going AWOL. It's just that after Alexander got discovered she decided to keep the rest of his reveal private until the ball, which is tomorrow at midnight., something she's been anticipating for a while now.

It's also going to be the biggest commission she's ever done at the most important event ever. And she's told herself that even if she does not win against Pierre, she'll still have a night to remember.

Olivia exhales, setting her paint brush down having finally completed everything. She had to go between pieces, but she made the most of it. And now she's free to do whatever for the rest of the day until the ball.

However, there's a problem, Alexander has been avoiding her after their, near kiss, was it?  She felt like all of it was her fault, not to mention unprofessional of course. Olivia left her study and went downstairs of her home to finally take a break.

She reached her kitchen, grabbing the almond milk from its place. Lost in her thoughts she poured herself a drink. She just can't get him out of her head. Surely, he would have to stop for his paycheck again this week but...that'll be all until she needs him again.

For now, he does everything far away from her. She should've never bought him any working devices.

Olivia set the glass down and sighed. She just can't get him out of her mind. It's been eating at her all month it has. She even caught herself sketching him a few times and would set her book down to distract herself. Or she would start over.

Suddenly there was a ring of her doorbell. Olivia raised her head, her heart skipping a beat as she gazed in front of her. Then another ring.

She knows it's him; who else would it be?

Olivia rushed over to the door and glanced at her paint-stained hands. She cussed.

"Shit. You look ridiculous." Then she caught herself. "No...he's your assistant." Olivia exhaled a breath and opened the door. Just as Alexander was about to ring the door he paused, his eyes staring down at her.

Olivia felt the butterflies and stopped herself from assaulting the man with a kiss. She wants him, oh so badly. But she played it cool. Olivia leaned against the door and cleared her throat.

"Did I call for you Mr.Reyes? Because I don't remember doing so." She sassed, crossing her arms.

"Umm...our flight to go to the United Kingdom is in the next four hours ma'am, you told me too not be late. Our hotel rooms are already booked as well, all according to your orders, ma'am." He explains.

Olivia closed her eyes, a gentle exhale leaving her nose. His scent is strong, and it was something that distracted her senses and made her slightly wet. And his accent, fuck.

"Ma'am?"

"Mm?"

"Our flight."

Olivia re-opened her eyes and rolled her eyes. "Fuck, right, umm...the surprise I have for the Duke is still wet, umm...it's drying so-

Alexander helped her with her thoughts. "I understand' they will be handled with care. I will have all of the supplies you need even if you forgot to pack them. We still have time."
