Walking through the woods we come upon a locked gate covered in leafs and gunk i went to smash when Joel nodded for me not to "It would make too much noise" he was right in the aspect of noise

"Should we climb it?" Ellie asked 

Joel examined the top part "No, wire on the top, but we gotta find a way to go around" 

We started walking around the side when Ellie suddenly gasped i turned to see her lost in her own delusion fireflies swarmed around her and her eyes were full of joyful innocence "Ellie..." i snapped my fingers getting her to focus up

"Sorry... I lost myself for a sec" She focused up crossing over the tree bark to follow Joel and I

I examined a power box hut using my tomahawk to climb up when Joel passed a plank and i set it up in place "All set" i informed as the two of them climbed up using a box.

Steadily crossing over to a roof within the gated area making sure i had secured the plank with Joel and Ellie following suit as i jumped down to the ground examining the grassy filled area with how messy the place is.

"That you, Bill?" Joel said peeping out a smoke trail 

Ellie got curious of this "Where do you usually meet him?"

"Huh?" Joel replied confused by the question "Different places" he mumbled his words proving he is a shit liar

"You've never been here have you?" Elli asked catching onto his lying

Joel sighed "I know this is where he lives, but... no, I ain't never been here, personally." 

Holding my bat i facepalmed "Great, Let's play follow Smokey bandit" i joked knowing this will be hard 

Walking down a dirt hill the entire town is a barren wasteland of nothing despite how it seems i can't help imagine what it would of been like before everything went to shit keeping an eye out incase of an ambush.

A noticed this rusted basketball hop and threw a rock in it pretending to do an impression like its a real game.

"Y/N" i heard Joel call my name and i quickly hurried to go catch up going past a small garage to see a clickers head bashed in moving on into a apartment building.

Checking around only hearing a few sounds of clickers deciding to stay quiet roaming the hall doing a quick sweep of supplies before exciting to see this place is empty of any remaining survivors

We reached another gate trying to open it when Joel takes a few glances at it "It's jammed from the other side" he stated

"Here" Ellie pointed up realising they're isn't any barbed wire on top "Boost me up" 

Joel squinted his face "No, no, no. That's not such a good idea" he repeated 

I went and put my back against the fence "Hurry up. ain't got all day" 

Ellie placed her foot in my hand grabbing the fence and i thrusted my arms up helping her over the fence and she removed the pipe allowing us access to the street.

The street is filled with old decayed cars and other vehicles Ellie raised her hand to receive a fist bump "No way" she shot a pair of puppy dog eyes my way with fake whimpers and i caved bumping her fist with mine

She smiled as we walk down the street spending time looting couples of places when i decided to break off going into old diner to find material for making Molotov's and other things not realising Ellie had been following me.

Going through certain drawers picking up a few metal pieces when i could hear Ellie's gasps of surprisal going through i saw her by an arcade machine having a sense of wanting a bit of fun walking over
