At first, I accepted death as it came.

Then I landed on an ice slide and decided that I hated the world.

"You're kidding me," I seethed as my body span around on the cold surface, picking up speed. "I risked my life seventeen times in that cavern for a slide?"
"Kind of changes your perspective in life," Nya shrugged as I caught up to her. She grabbed my shoulder to stop me from spinning. I gasped her a thanks.
"I guess!" I shouted, my frustrated voice echoing down the cave.
Ice slides hurt. We crashed, we bonked and we spat curses. But it got us where we needed to go.
We landed in a disgruntled pile in a third cavern, much larger than the last. It was completely made of ice.
After disentangled ourselves, groaning at our various knocks or bruises, we stood. I hissed as I rubbed my forehead, certain there was a bruise forming from where I had involuntarily head-butted the slide wall.

"Is everyone okay?" Zane grunted as he rolled his shoulder. We mumbled mediocre replies.
"What did we get ourselves into?" Kai asked in awe as he gazed around the monstrous cavern. It was filled with tall walls of ice jutting out randomly. Sharp icicles decorated the walls and floor. I shivered, not appreciating the chill.
Jay leapt up a small mountain of snow and looked out. He grinned.
"It's a maze!" he announced cheerfully. "I'm great at mazes!"
"Oh, great," I muttered, rubbing a forming bruise on my thigh. "A maze. Just what we need."
"This is going to take forever," Nya groaned. "We don't have time for this!"
"What kind of all-powerful god puts a maze in his tomb, anyway?" Cole asked as we started off at a walk, venturing into the maze. "Seems a bit pedestrian."
"I guess he ran out of dragons," Jay snickered.
"Knowing Lloyd and his dad," I hummed, finger dancing on the tip of an icicle as I passed. "Putting a maze in his tomb seems like the natural thing to do."

"I guess," Kai raised an eyebrow as he glanced at the wall of the hallway we were walking down. "But even still..."
I snickered. "Kai, a thousand year old Sensei got the giggles by helping Jay change Zane's voice into a pirate accent."
"Guys-"
"It was his idea!" Jay piped up with a grin. "Man, I wish Lloyd was there to see it. He would've loved it."
"Hey, guys-"
"We can always show Lloyd when we get him back?" Zane offered. "I have it stored in my linguistics-"
"GUYS!" Kai shouted, making us jump and turn back to him. He was staring at the ice wall with a peculiar expression, having stopped walking. "Look at your reflections..."
I frowned in confusion, staring at Kai with a worried expression.
"Did you hit your head-"
