It was Amazingly terrifying how fast a week could go by. The exhibition game went how everyone expected. They had won in three sets and it was safe to say the world knew why Delilah Sinclair was the ESPN number one recruit coming out of her senior year in high school.
The team flew in the jet to Connecticut then took the bus up to the school. Delilah was a mess with nerves since she left her dorm to which she realized she had left her phones charger inside once she got to the airport. Freshman mistake.
She took a breath as they neared the school. Sydney who was a junior gave the nervous freshman a side smile and a nod of encouragement as they all stood up to grab their bags overhead and leave the bus. Delilah did so and left the bus with a smile on her face as she heard cameras clicking beside her.
She knew it was only their media team but that didn't change the fact that the noise gave her a scare because she wasn't really expecting them to be there. I mean, right there in her face.
Eventually once everyone was off the bus they stopped taking pictures and coach Cook led Delilah and the rest of the girls to the locker room. Not only was Delilah nervous about the game because it was her first away game and technically their first actual game of the season. But also because they were playing Uconn. Paige goes to Uconn. But she wouldn't come to the game right? She hates Delilah enough to stay away. Right? Hopefully.

Delilah took a deep breath she watched the starting six take the floor from the bench. She would go on after the starting play. The blonde took a deep breath as the announcer announced the game start. Delilah leaned against her fellow freshman Magnolia, Delilah's Maroon colored jersey ran against Magnolias white one.
The game opened up with Minnesota winning the opening serve point on an ace. Delilah was in by the time for the second serve. She saw herself on the big screen before looking back down at the back of her setter waiting for the play to start.
Minnesota ended up winning all three sets before the game ended because there was no way for Uconn to catch up in time. The girls were 2-0 after picking up another early win. The team split after a huddle because a few girls had people to say hi to in the stands. Magnolia was born in Canada but her family moved to Connecticut a few years ago after Maggie's sister got into Uconn so her family had all came to see her play, and when she said her whole family she meant her whole family. Maggie introduced Delilah and a few of the other girls to her mom, dad, grandma, grandpa and sister.
Maggie always said her parents were very supportive. It was honestly so sweet to see them all there to watch her play. The closest thing to that, that Delilah had was the Bueckers. Drew and Mr Rob at least.
