Acacia made her way inside the recording studio and asked the receptionist for directions.

She proceeded to walk down the long hallway and noticed that the walls were covered with pictures of some of the biggest stars that had recorded there in the past; Serenity was in great company.

She saw the producer and sound engineer sitting in front of the sound board when she entered the room. She proceeded to take a seat on the leather couch in the corner of the room and tried to do so as quietly as possible so she wouldn't interrupt the process.

Serenity was sitting on a stool in the booth while she laid down her vocals. She'd been hard at work on her EP that was about to be released in a few weeks. The project was self funded so she was under a lot of pressure for it to succeed.

Acacia was still unsure if she should record an interlude for the EP. It was way out of her comfort zone, but she did want to support her bestie however.

"Let's take five," Serenity stated when she spotted Acacia in the cut.

"That sounded really good," Acacia complimented her after they finished hugging each other and Serenity joined her on the couch.

"I can't wait to hear everything else you recorded."

Even though Acacia wasn't musically inclined she was still able to recognize a hot song when she heard it. Serenity trusted her judgement so she would always let her listen to all of the new songs that she'd recorded.

"You're still going to help me out with the interlude, right?" Serenity inquired.

"I don't know about all of that. I'm just here for moral support."

"Girl, don't flake out on me. It'll be fun and I can guarantee you that you'll sound good. I would never set you up for failure."

Their conversation soon turned to their ill fated trip to Aspen.

"Bitch, I told you to say something sooner." Serenity wasn't really the 'I told you so' type of person, but she wanted to be real with her friend.

"You know I'm with you when you're right, but you were dead wrong for keeping that man in the dark like that," she told Acacia.

"Have you spoken to him?"

"Not really," Acacia revealed semi nonchalantly.

Acacia was aware that she was in the wrong and was more than willing to admit that, but she needed him to be open for a conversation so she could tell him. He hadn't been willing to talk to her however, so as far as she was concerned the ball was in his court.
