Early update to make it up for last time!
Ruhaani stepped into the room to find Aadarsh at the desk. The room was quite big. As one entered the room, onto the right side was a big desk with an office chair behind it. As one turned to the left side the king size bed came into view. The wooden flooring matched the color of the wall unit right in the front of the bed and the door of that opened into the walk-in wardrobe. The wall unit on the wall in front of the bed had shelves on the sides and a line of closed cabinets down for storage. Each of the shelf had a photoframe. The photographs featured him with his family. Perhaps a fond memory, to make him smile on the hard days. She had even spotted one of a younger version of him, he must have been about ten, with both his parents.
On the other side of the bed was a recliner and a door that led to the balcony. The dark wooden work in the room contrasted well with the light beige walls. The tray ceiling from where the golden light evenly lit the room was a cherry on top. The room was beautiful but looked like one straight out of a magazine. It looked like a set-up. It didn't appear as one that was inhabited by somebody, like it had in the morning with her clothes scattered on the bed.
She almost shivered as strong cold air blew from the left. She turned to the balcony door to find it open. Who in the right mind would leave the door open freezing a perfectly warm room?
"Where's Pari?" She asked panicking, her gaze carefully swiping the room. Was she in the balcony? She was almost halfway to the balcony when he answered.
"Mukti's room. Mukti wanted to show her the stars on the ceiling." He spoke, putting the files into the draw then closing it. He finally looked up at her. She wore a pale pink pullover over her kurti. Her hazel hair fixed in a pony.
"Okay," she said. "Can I shut the door of the balcony, it's making the room too cold, isn't it?"
He glanced at the door and then nodded. He somehow preferred a cold room to sleep in. Something that none of his family members approved of. Abhi even went far to joke about it calling him a vampire for that. He resumed organizing his desk while she closed the door.
"Which side of the bed do you prefer?" She asked.
He looked up at her. "The right, if you don't mind."
"Not at all." She said, looking at the bedding. There were enough pillows, but just one big quilt. However, it would be sufficient for the three of them. She quietly walked around the bed towards the walk-in-wardrobe that further led into the toilet. She picked her night clothes and then Pari's. The sudden silence was both comfortable and daunting at the same time.
Aadarsh sat on the bed, waiting for her to be out. He removed his sweater and ran a hand through his hair. A yawn escaped his mouth. He turned to left as Ruhaani walked out dressed in a black night suit that was essentially black pajamas that almost looked like joggers along with an oversized back full sleeves t-shirt with stars drawn on it. He wouldn't have been surprised if Pari wore that.
She smiled imapssively, trying to initiate a conversation, "had a tough day today?"
"No, just fine." He said, picking up his sweater. He decided to get changed for the night. He had had a rather exhausting day with the site visits.
"Aadarsh,"
He was forced to look back up at her as she settled on the bed beside him. Aadarsh hated when he didn't have control on things. Like right now. He had no clue what she was thinking, regarding him with a keen look.
"Are there any unsaid rules about your room, that I must know. I mean, uh, people are particular about certain things. And this home seems to have a lot of unsaid rules."
