"Go get a seat. I'll get us some straws." I said.
"Ok. Hurry I have lots to tell you." Liv said.
My best friend, Liv, had dragged me out of my house to take me to the local coffee shop. She said she had important news that she wanted to talk to me about. I hope it isn't boyfriend drama.
I got the straws for our coffees and walked over to a small table in the corner near the bathrooms where Liv was sitting.
I pulled out the chair out sat down.
"Ok," I said throwing the straws at her, "What's the big news."
"Shhh I don't want to say it too loud!" She said in a whisper.
"Just tell me Liv." I said getting a little annoyed.
"Well apparently this new gang from Australia just moved here. They are super dangerous and one of the most well known and feared gangs in the world."
I didn't believe what she was saying. What famous gang would move to Quincy, Illinois? It was one of the smallest towns ever and was mainly just cornfields.
"Why the hell would they move here?" I said rolling my eyes.
"Listen, I don't know but please be care-"
The door suddenly burst open to the coffee shop and in came a tall boy with blonde hair quiffed perfectly ran in. He had a shiny black gun in his hands that he pointed at the people behind the counter.
My whole body felt like it was stuck in slow motion. Before I could think, I pulled Liv out of her seat and into the bathroom that was just behind us.
"Get in the stall and crouch on the floor." I whispered.
We curled up in the corner of the stall trying to breathe calmly. Suddenly, we heard the door to the bathroom creak open. My breath hitched in my throat. I saw black vans walking towards the stall door and footsteps getting closer. I brought my knees to my chest even tighter than they were before.
The door was kicked open and standing there was the boy that had ran in with the gun. The gun was in his right hand holding it casually.
"Well what do we have here?" he smirked.
He walked closer to us and picked me up by pulling on my arm. He moved to Liv and pulled her up as well.
"Please don't hurt us." She whimpered.
Within a second he pushed her up to the wall, pinned her and put the gun up to her temple.
"What was that?"
He pressed the gun harder to her head. She began to cry.
"Huh? I can't understand you." He smirked.
I couldn't let him shoot my best friend. I launched forward and hit his hand so the gun was moved off her head. The gun went off and hit her in the leg. Liv fell to the floor grasping her leg and crying from pain.
"Liv!" I screamed and launched over to her. I was pulled back by a strong arm and pressed up against the wall.
He dragged the tip of the shiny, cold black gun across my chin and up my cheek.
"Don't try to save her."
"But-"
He pressed the gun hard on my temple.
"Don't do it." He spit out.
He released the pressure on the gun and began to walk; dragging me forward through the door and back into the coffee shop.
