"He shot you?"  Michael said in disbelief as we finished telling him what had happened,

"Yea,"  Luke responded as he swallowed a bite of his sandwich, "He beat the shit out of me, tried to make me kill her and almost fucking raped Rayne!"

The room went silent.

He squeezed my thigh gently under the table sending a wave of comfort over my body.

"Are you ok?"  Calum said with a worried expression as he looked at me.

"I'm ok Cal."  I said nodding with a small smile.

"You've grown like a sister to me and the boys and I don't like hearing you've been hurt."  Cal said.

"You guys are the best."  I smiled.

I got up and put my plate and Luke's in the dishwasher.

"I'm gonna go upstairs and get cleaned up."  I said as I walked up the stairs.

I went in my room and grabbed a pair of Luke's boxers and an old Blink 182 shirt of his that he had given me to wear.

I walked into Luke's room to go to the shower when I saw him sitting on his bed with his head hanging down.

"Luke?"  I whispered as I walked into the room.

He lifted his head up to look up at me and just gave me a weak smile before looking at the ground.

I walked over slowly and sat next him.  I put my hand gently on his back.

"What's wrong?"  I said gently.

"I was defeated."  He said weakly; shaking his head, "Alex defeated me."

"You weren't defeated.  You won.  You killed them and we got out."  I said moving my hand in soothing circles.

"But he shot me.  I've never been shot ever."

"It was bound to happen sometime Luke.  You after all are in a gang."  I smiled.

He let out a small chuckle and I thought I made him feel better.

"Have you done anything about the gun wound?"

"No."  He said shaking his head.

"Can-Can I help you?  You need to clean it and take care of it.  Are you in pain?"

"It hurts so much Rayne.  I can't move my arm without it feeling like my arm is on fire."  He said with his eyes beginning to water.

"Let me take care of it."

He smiled and slowly pulled off his shirt making sure not to move his wounded arm too quickly.

I tried not to stare at his toned chest but it was hard.  I took a deep breath and walked over to the other side of him so I could see the gun shot.

I drew in a harsh breath as I saw it.  His whole arm was bright red because it was infected.  The bullet was still in it and dried blood was stained all over his arm as well as fresh blood dripping down.

"Uh," I said as I cleared my throat, "I'm gonna go get some stuff to clean it.  The bullet is still in there.  I'm-I'm gonna need to take it out."

"Do what you need to do Rayne.  Go find Calum and tell him you need the first aid kit."  He said squeezing my hand.

I smiled slightly and walked out the room and downstairs.

"Cal!"  I shouted.

"Yea!" He said as he walked out of the kitchen and to the stairs where I was, "Oh hey Rayne.  Whats up?"
