I climbed on top of my bed and pulled my knees to my chest.  I sobbed quietly but they eventually became louder.  Why did all of this have to happen to me?

"Rayne?  Are you ok?"  I heard a familiar voice say.

It was Calum.

He walked in and sat down next to me.  He put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me to his chest where I rested my head.

"What's wrong Rayne?"  He asked quietly.

"Everything Calum.  Luke for starters."

"Did he break up with you?"  He asked me with a worried expression on his face.

"I- I don't know.  I mean I'm pretty sure we're done after what just happened."

"What happened?"  He asked.

I took a deep sigh and told Calum everything; from the moment I walked into his room to the second I walked out.

Saying what happened outloud made me realize that Luke and I were over.

"I'm sorry," Calum said giving me a kiss on the head, "but there will be other people that will come into your life."

"I know, but I thought that we had something.  I really did love him but now I don't even want to look at him."  I said biting my lip to stop me from crying again.

"I know it's hard, but you want to go home, don't you?"  He asked sincerely.

"Well yea, but I was hoping that we would be able to make whatever thing we had between us work."  I said shaking my head, "How could I be so stupid?  It would never have been able to work."

"He could've tried and getting drunk was not what he should've done.  Rayne, you're going home tomorrow and you can get back to your life.  Forget about him and focus on your future which will be a great one."  Calum said smiling as he talked about my future and I smiled too because he understood how important it was of a scholarship for me.

"Thanks Calum.  You're right."  I smiled.

"But there are somethings I need to tell you,"  He said quietly.  I nodded for him to tell me.  "What you choose to say about us when you go home tomorrow, thats up to you, but please don't get us in jail."

I was taken back by his words.  What was I supposed to do?  Lie to the police?

"I-I won't."  I whispered.

"Luke, um, he might give you a shot that gets rid of your memory so you don't have any remembrance of what happened."

"What?"  I questioned; my voice rising.

"It just gets rid of your memory from the past month, and if I were you I'd want to get rid of it."  He said elbowing me gently.

"I- I don't know.  I wouldn't say anything to the police or even my family.  You've got to believe me Calum."  I pleaded.

"It's not up to me Rayne."  He said getting up from the bed, "Good night.  I'm gonna miss you."

I showed a small smile, "I'm gonna miss you too Cal."  I said.

He smiled back at me and left the room to leave me sitting on the bed.

What if Luke gave me the shot?  He'd be gone from my life forever.  I would have no memory of him; not a trace.  Part of me wanted that, but the other part of me felt that he was still special to me and I didn't want to let him go.

Luke let me go from his life, but I can't let him go from mine.
