Blue/Grey Eyes

It has been a week since the stranger with blue grey eyes was in the bar and for some reason, I couldn't stop thinking about him. I shook my head and got up from my office chair and I reminded Liam of his rules before leaving the office and picked up my little notebook that I have been taking orders on. 

Apparently, nobody wants to work at my bar, or nobody is wanting to be a waitress and bartender now days. I walk up to Sara, and I see her talking on the phone while pour a drink and she hangs up her phone and apologies to the man and said it was her brother and the man was not mad at all, when she saw me beside her, she immediately said, 

S--"I am sorry Addison, boss, I won't do it again, it was my brother" I nod, and I said, 

A--"Sara I remember when you interviewed for a job four years ago, you said you would need to answer phone calls about your brother because off his job, so don't worry about it." 

S--"That is the thing, my brother worried me for no reason, but he asked if he could stop along with a couple of his buddies stop and get a drink, it will be after hours since they won't be able to make it back until about 30 minutes past closing time" I think about it and said, 

A--"Just this once, okay? It can't be all of the time, or it might lead others to think we stay open longer" she nods and smiles then gets back to work while I just start working. After our shift we had cleaned up a little bit and was sitting down talking when Liam walked out of the office,

L--"Mommy I want to go to bed" I nod and get up from my seat and say to Sara,

A--"I am going to go ahead and take him up to bed since it's just going to be your brother's and no strangers can get up there" she nods and smiles,

S--"I will make sure they know the rule of not entering the apartment" I nod and thanked her before picking up Liam and walking to the door that led to our home for right now until I can get enough money to buy us a house to live in. I walk in and close the door before walking up the stairs,

L--"Mommy can I stay up and watch a movie with you?" I know he will be asleep 10 minutes into the movie,

A--"Yes let's watch a movie, Spiderman?"

L--"How about the green man?" I giggle. He can never remember the name for the hulk, so he just calls him the green man,

A--"That sounds good" we walk up he gets in his pajamas quickly and then walks to the couch with a blanket and he curls up against my side and he lasted longer than I expected, 15 minutes into the movie he falls asleep, I pick him up and walk to his bed and lay him down on his pillow and tuck him into his bed and kissed him on the forehead then turned on his nightlight before turning the big light off and walking back down the stairs closing the door after walking back out of the door.

When I turned around, I see three guys sitting at one of the tables and I see Sara talking to them, I quickly walk by them all and go grab my review papers for the day and walk back to the bar and grabbed my pen from behind the counter and filled out my papers, and then turned around to see if I needed to put in an order for alcohol which I ended up having to for all of it. 

S--"Hey A, come meet my brother and his best friends." 

A--"Just give me one second" I signed the last paper putting them back on the clipboard and asking before turning around and walking to their table, 

A--"What is everyone drinking?"

G--"Scotch and whiskey" my body went stiff when I heard the man's voice from a week ago came from behind me at the table and I grabbed the whiskey and scotch and walked around the bar and walked to their table and refilled their glasses while Sara said, while pointing at each one of them, 

S--"That is Lars he and Trey which is that one, they are twins, and lastly that is my brother which would you like to be introduced by brother?"

G--"My name is Grayson, but everyone calls me King" I cleared my throat and said, 

A--"It is nice to meet you all, I um I have to do some work" I walked to the bar after smiling and I feel the blush come to my face and I walked back to the clipboard knowing I have nothing to do but I lean against the bar, 

S--"Hey what is wrong?" 

A--"Umm nothing I am just going to finish up here" I smiled but she looked at me with a serious face on. 

A--"Okay I might have met your brother already; it was the first day I had to work the floor and him and his buddies were the ones to leave the $50" 

S--"Oh... and the ones that have made you blush when you stare off into space." I cleared my throat and nodded while turning to look at her and leaned against the counter. 

S--"Which one?" my phone vibrated in my pocket for the 10th time tonight and I take it out and answered it, 

A--"Leave me the hell alone."

K--"Come on baby I want you back." 

A--"Well you're not so get that through your head" I hung up and slammed my hand that was holding my phone on the counter making it crack and I cut my hand with the glass, 

A--"Shit" I grab a rag and wrap it around my hand, and I hear footsteps coming towards me, 

G--"Are you okay?"

A--"Yes"

L--"Mommy?" I looked to my right, and I see him crying I fast walk to him kneeled down beside him and hugging him but keeping my one hand off of him, so I didn't get any blood on him, 

A--"What is wrong?"

L--"Bad dream" I hug him and hold him close for a while and I pulled back,

A--"Mommy has a boo boo so she needs to take care of it, can aunt sara get you back to bed and I will come back up and be there the rest of the night sound good?" he nods and runs to Sara, 

A--"You don't mind, do you?"

S--"Not at all, come here sweet cheeks" she picks him up and takes off up the stairs and I walk to my office where there is a first aid kit. I grab it and clean my cut and was letting it sit for a second to let the sting wear off and the door opened, 

G--"Are you okay?"

A--"Yes just a person that likes to get on my nerves that is all." I looked up and it looked like he didn't buy what I said, 

G--"You're a mom?"

A--"Yes his name is Liam."

G--"How old?"

A--"4 I had him when I was twenty." 

G--"Do you have a boyfriend or husband then?"

A--"No his dad is not in the picture" I finished off saying and put the band aid on the cut, 

A--"Okay I have to get to him, it was nice to meet you, King" I offered him my hand which he takes while saying, 

G--"It was very nice to meet you... again and it is Grayson to you" we still had each other's hands shaking it slowly while looking each other straight in each other's eyes and we were interrupted by I think his name is Trey he looked at each of us before saying to Grayson, 

T--"We have a problem sir we need to get to the shipment right now" Grayson nodded and I took my hand away from his hand and smiled at all of them before walking to my door opening it and walking up to find my son sleeping on the couch leaning up against a sleeping Sara I just shook my head and sit down on my bed and lean back and before I know it I fell asleep just like that.
