Break In

It was a week later, and I have not seen anybody other than Sara of course, she would ask me what is wrong or what made me leave so sudden, but I would just start talking about work. Throughout this whole week all I could think is mine and Grayson's time together, I quickly shook my head to get rid of the thought and get comfy in my bed and I feel myself slowly fall into deep sleep. 

3 AM:

I was woken up by Liam and he looked scared right as I was about to ask him what is wrong, I heard glass breaking downstairs and I sat up straight away in my bed kicking the covers off of me and grabbing Lima picking him up and I grabbed the bat beside my bed and my phone before walking fast to the bathroom trying not to make much noise and I close and lock the bathroom door and I get into the tub and sat down with Liam hugging me close around the neck while sitting on my lap, I pull the curtain closed, I whisper into Liam's ear 

A--"I know that you are scared honey, but I need you to be quiet, okay?" he was crying but not loudly anymore, 

A--"We are going to be just fine" I pick up my phone and text Sara to call the police we have a break in, I would call 911 but I don't want whoever is in here to come up here and get to us, she texts back saying that help is on the way. 

It had been a few minutes when suddenly I heard our door break open and kept saying shhh to Liam quietly to try to calm him well until I heard a few things being tossed around and I instantly stopped all sounds and prayed that the person wouldn't come to the bathroom. Right as the heavy footsteps were coming closer to the bathroom door, I heard bikes revving up the street and the footsteps stopped briefly before running back down the stairs hopefully out of the bar. 

After a few minutes there was a knock on the bathroom door and I heard Violet on the other side talking to me, 

V--"Honey open up please" I get up still hugging Liam closed to me, and I noticed that tears were running down my face and I hurriedly walked to the door well as fast as I could with jello for legs. When I reached the door and I unlocked it pulling it open seeing her face and I immediately rush to her and hugged her and she gladly hugged me and Liam back, she let me cry for a few minutes before pulling away and wiped my tears away and I asked Liam.

A--"Honey do you think you can go to Aunt V for a few minutes just while I walk down the stairs and talk to everyone that came to help us?" He didn't answer for a moment before saying,

L--"As long as you come back."

A--"I promise" he let up his grip and I look up to Violet as in asking her with my eyes and all she does is nod her head with a smile and I hand him over after one last tight hug and a kiss on the head, then made my way down the steps.

When I reach the bottom of the stairs and push the broken door open, what I saw broke my heart everything was trashed, I don't even know how I will pay to get it back and running again. I felt a hand touch my left shoulder from the back and I jumped in surprise turning around to defend myself, but I see that it is Lars and Trey,

T--"Are you okay?" I didn't get to answer hiss question when Grayson strolled in looking right at me but breaks it off to look at the twins,

G--"Go, take them back to the basement" they nodded saying yes boss under their breaths and walked out of my once bar now it is just trashed, I didn't realize that I was crying again until Grayson was wiping my face off with his thumb then pulling me close to him which I let him, I really need this hug.

S--"Addison? Addison? Oh, there you are, are you okay? How is my nephew?" I pulled away and wiped my face off and looked around then turning to look back at Sara and Grayson saying,

A--"Looks like you are going to be out of a job" another year fell down my face as I gave another glance around, everything was trashed, and my bar was already hanging on by a thread, so I have no money to put in it.

G--"We'll help get it fixed up" I shook my head no,

A--"You don't get it I was already having a hard time keeping it up and running, I was managing it but there is no way I can repay this with the amount I have left" I looked at all the broken tables, chairs, glasses, liquor, and so many more things were ruined by the people that decided to break in to my place of work and mine and Liam's home.

G--"You will be staying with me and my family at my home for now, as for this place we can come in whenever you want and clean up, as for money I will pay you for working as my bartender or bar manager whatever you would like for as long as you want and that money should help with this place or whatever dream you seek for this place." I looked at him shocked and Sara decided to ask,

S--Would I be paid too brother?" He looked at her in all seriousness,

G--I told you; you didn't have to work already."

S--"Yeah but I want to."

G--"Okay then you can work alongside Addison in my bar at the club."

A--"I haven't accepted yet" he looked right in my eyes so intense that I had to look away from his eyes and look over at the little boy running down the stairs then running over to me jumping up and down from excitement,

L--"Mommy aunt v told me that we are going to go live with them for a while" I looked up at all of them for a minute then kneeled down in front of him and shook my head no,

A--"No baby boy we can't, we can't do that too them, we will be fine here."

G--"You are not staying here, if he has sent men here, he will not be afraid to do it again just so he doesn't have to get his hands dirty, so you and Liam will be staying with us."

L--"Please, please, please mom I really like it there" he smiled his big toothy grin, and I groaned saying to him since I can't tell him no about something that would make him so happy.

A--"Fine but we have to go pack he nods and rubs his eyes and I look up seeing it is only five in the morning and he is probably so tired,

A--"Umm can one of you please take Liam to my car and stay with him or one of you guys' cars please?" Violet nodded picking Liam up and he laid his head against her shoulder, I raised up and slowly walked up the stairs and I looked around our home that was violated and I shuddered.

A hand was laying against my shoulder and I jumped turning around and I saw it was Grayson and I sighed relaxing then our night popped up in my head and I blushed turning around and walking to mine and Liam's closet and grabbed each of us our suitcases that we have never used but was gifted by my late grandma who passed away two years ago and I start packing up clothes for both of us when I was done packing enough for a while Grayson picked up the suit cases and walked them down the stairs and out to my car to put them in for me.

I walked over to my bed and grabbed my phone, my charger, and a couple of Liam's toys in another small bag before grabbing my purse then I shut the lights off then walked down the stairs and out to my car.

When I reached the front door, I saw that I was not going to be in my car in fact it was gone and in place of it was a truck somebody must have left it here for Grayson.

Grayson rounded the truck and opened the door for me, and I climbed in and he shut the door for me then rounded the truck once again getting in the driver's side of the truck and took off down the road and I was looking out the window and then it hit me somebody broke into my parent's bar and destroyed it.

I didn't notice that I had tears rolling down my face until Grayson had pulled the truck over and pulled me to where my face was against his chest crying harder than I was earlier.

I must have been crying for so long and from there exhaustion I passed out laying against his chest and while crying.
