Standing backstage Evie peeked through the curtains to see thousands of fans waiting expectantly. The clock on the wall ticked forward, pushing Evie's nerves through the roof, it was ten to seven, she knew she still had forty minutes until her appearance however she wanted to watch the show first and get a feel of how it runs.
'Heyy' Samantha walked up to her, patting her on the back 'I did your mic checks for you' she said handing her a mic. 'Sorry I forgot about that' Evie whispered. 'don't worry, you were getting ready, how do you feel' Samantha questioned, 'Nervous' Evie replied 'That's completely normal, you'll smash it though' she comforted her, they stood in silence for a few seconds before Samantha looked at the clock 'I better get going' she said, walking forward to the stage
'Hey Samantha' Evie shouted over, making the girl turn and smile 'Who's announcing me' she questioned. Samantha smiled before answering 'Me, why' her face confused. 'Don't call me Karma, just call me Evie please' she asked, 'Aww why its so good' Samantha tried, 'I just don't like it anymore, I will talk to Kelly about it but for now just call me Evie please' Samantha just smiled 'Your wish is my command' she said bowing sarcastically chuckling and turning out to the stage. A foreign voice 'Welcome to the stage your Ring Announcer Samantha Irrvinn' hearing the crowd cheer at her, gave Evie a boost of confidence.
What seemed like seconds after Samantha had left the clock hit 29 minutes past, the staff behind stage telling her it was her time, she took one last look over her outfit, checking her dress was properly zipped and her shoes were fully buckled. She took a few deep breaths before stepping forward and out onto the stage.
'Please Welcome our newest Ring Announcer Evviiieeee' Samantha shouted, riling up the crowd who seemed to scream in unison at her arrival. She waved both hands at the crowd smiling at all the people, shocked as people stuck their hands out at her as she began to walk down to the ring. Before she had even got a third of the way the crowd was interrupted.
'THIS IS MY BRUTALITY' boomed through the speakers, Rhea walking out in her ring gear. Evie realised that the woman was ten times scarier when ready to beat someone up, she had black leather boots with shiny black booty shorts and a black garter, She had coupled this with a judgement day shirt tied at the back and cut into a halter style neckline that looped around her neck, exposing her ripped shoulders. Her heavy eye makeup made her eyes pierce at Evie even more as she looked at her black matte lipstick that flicked up in the corners like a joker.
She was accompanied by the three males that always seemed to surround her, one with no shirt on and glaring at her, one very tall and looming over all the others and the final one that threw the mic at her yesterday had a purple plaid top thrown on over a black tank. None of them seemed happy about her arrival.
'Shut up Toronto' she shouted into her mic, 'Now we came out of here to see what all the shouting was about and see this pathetic lump of person', she paused 'I mean your giving her all the attention possible and she's practically cowering at it' she laughed turning to Evie. 'Now piss off and go where your meant to be, this is my show now' she ran her tongue over her teeth as the crowd boo'd loudly.
Evie practically ran to the announcement table, sitting on one of the small metal chairs set to the side, she smiled up at the two men already sat there. They smiled back before whispering something seconds later and a leather chair was lifted over the barricades and placed by their side. They waved her over and motioned for her to sit down then passed her a headset, she placed it on, taking relief as they blocked out the loud crowd. 'Welcome to the team kid' one of the men said 'I'm Corey Graves and this is Kevin Patrick' he introduced themselves. 'Evie' she introduced herself unsurely 'You been walked through this before kiddo' Kevin asked 'Yes and no' she answered 'Okay so we just basically have conversations into these mics about what's happening, whether it be how they look or feel, how a match is going, what they are saying and just stuff like that' he explained. 'Okay, easy enough' she chuckled. 'Yep' Corey confirmed. 'Today will be more of a tester then Royal Rumble will be your first match announcement' Kevin explained, looking back over to Rhea Ripley
'Last year Royal Rumble was mine, I nearly won, I came second, I was a runner up to Bianca Belair. Its not going to happen again, this time I'm going in and I'm going in to win. I'm not going to let friendship and alliances get in the way. I will not be a team player, I am not going to sit on the apron smile and get back in the ring with someone. When i win Royal Rumble I have a Golden Ticket to Wrestle mania, to get my Championship Belt' Rhea Ripley explained dropping the mic shortly after
'Rhea Ripley assuring the crowd she will win royal rumble', reminding us she will not let anyone beat her' Corey said 'You mean reminding us of her brutality; Kevin chuckled. 'She's very scary' Evie added, watching as both the men laughed 'Yep and she seems to have it out for you' Corey commentated as The Judgement Day walked out.
The night finished with Gunther having a match against Kevin Owens, Gunther won and Evie watched the banter roll back and forth, impressed at how the two men seemed to do their job as well as keeping the crowd interested. At the end of the night her Corey, Kevin and Samantha walked backstage, asking Evie how her first ever Monday Night Raw was.
