I reached school. I had honestly forgotten about Amelia talking about we should chat for a while today until she came.
She put on her bag and came to find me.
"Hey, wanna talk?" she asked.
I looked at her and hesitated for a while, my eyes wandered. "Yeah," I finally said. Both of us went down to a bench just downstairs.
"Sit," she said, and I sat down without saying a word."Yeah, so," Amelia looked at me. "Just forget about him, move on!"
I looked back at her, eyes full of sorrow.
"But how can I, just forget about him so easily?"I can't control my tears any more. I felt my heart was so heavy. A thousand stones on top of it.
Amelia seeing me crying, hugged me.
"Aw girl, just cry. Cry it out. It will make everything better."I cried harder, but not making any sounds. I cried silently like how I used to.
"No one understands!" I said, almost shouting.
"I understand, okay?" she replied.I nodded my head softly. I took off my glasses and wiped my tears off.
"But him! How can he not-"
"Don't care about him," Amelia cut off my sentence. "He's the past now."I sighed.
"The next guy will be a lot better than him!" she said, "Cheer up!"
I stayed silent.
"Aw Jane," Amelia was getting a little impatient.
"He's just overreacting! And Kaden, he's just standing on his friend's side and that's normal! Don't take it too seriously."She hugged me again. This time instead of heaviness, I felt a slight relief in my heart.
"The next will be better," I muttered.
"Of course! Such a pity you met him."Tears filled my eyes again. I looked up at the ceiling, hoping tears won't drop again.
"He didn't even ask for the reason, my dear," Amelia said. She pats my shoulder, then my head. "Move on, you can do this."
I hope that I really can.
