A few hours earlier at Park Enterprise...
Park Jimin strolled down the hallway, each of his steps rough and loud. His eyes were set ablaze with frustration as he thought about her words.
She was right, she was neither his girlfriend or his wife. But how could she blatantly say it without any hesitation? Didn't she see he was actively chasing her in hopes that she would eventually become the latter?
While he had experience with women, he had never been interested in engaging in anything that would be called a romantic relationship.
Rosè Yang was the only one to have made it into his house. Not only was she pampered beyond words, but she was spoiled rotten by him.
Ever since he met her, he had stopped seeing any of the women he used to satisfy his physical urges and had solely focused all of his attention onto her. Did that not mean anything? It was infuriating that the only woman he had decided to pursue was such a stubborn one.
He knew that by deliberately ignoring her and furiously walking out of her apartment while slamming the door behind him had the potential to jeopardize their budding friendship. But at that moment, he was so blinded by her words, he didn't care anymore.
She wanted to be incredibly stubborn without reason? Fine. He'll let her do as she pleased. She was not the only one who had a bad temper.
When he got to Park Enterprise, the atmosphere around him had stifled everyone. The people immediately lined up upon seeing him and simultaneously bowed to greet their CEO, despite the fact that he was four hours later than usual.
"Greetings to CEO Park!" Everyone bowed as low as their stomach would allow them.
A few people gulped and swallowed in fear when they felt the murderous aura that always seemed to follow their boss. Some were used to it, but this time it was more intense than usual that a few of them was beginning to shake.
All of the workers wondered who dared to anger their boss to this extent. Through secretive glances, one could easily notice his tightly clenched fist shaking in fury. If his eyes can set things ablaze, the entire building would've been burnt to ashes.
Kim Namjoon paced back and forth in Park Jimin's office when suddenly the door slammed open with a loud bang. Startled, he jumped and turned around to see his fearsome boss whose usual grouchiness was even worse.
He physically gulped. "B-Boss, you came-"
"Where is he? Where is that bastard?" Park Jimin seethed through clenched teeth, his jaw locked so tight with annoyance that Kim Namjoon was scared his teeth might break.
"Wait, you can't go see him in this state. You're angry and-"
"You rush me here and now you don't want me to see him?" Park Jimin snarled at his secretary, glowering at the poor man who only wanted to get his job done.
"All these years of experience and you decide to be incompetent today?" He hissed, angrily storming into the room.
Kim Namjoon was taken aback by his harsh words, nearly flinching at how much it had hurt. He had been with Park Jimin even before he had taken over Park Enterprise, but this was the angriest he had seen him. He immediately regretted rushing and pestering his boss to come here.
"He's in the private meeting room." Kim Namjoon breathed out, running a tired hand through his hair as he looked at Park Jimin through the frame of his glasses.
Without another word, Park Jimin turned on his heels and strutted to the room with Kim Namjoon following closely behind him. When Park Jimin's team saw him at the entrance, they straightened up. One of the lawyers opened his mouth but quickly closed it when he saw Kim Namjoon motion him to be quiet.
Park Jimin's workers finally saw the fury within their boss's face and all of them decided against speaking unless spoken to.
Jeong Jaehyun was saying something to Chou Tzuyu when Park Jimin walked in. Completely oblivious to the frightening aura that desired his death, Jeong Jaehyun had been gently rubbing Chou Tzuyu's cheek and softly kissing the other. Kim Namjoon loudly cleared his throat which quickly separated the loving couple.
Upon seeing his friend, Jeong Jaehyun's lips tilted up to a pleasant smile. "Park Jimin , you're here." He greeted, happily walking up to him to shake hands but one of Park Jimin's security detail came forward to prevent any contact.
Jeong Jaehyun's eyes twitched at the disrespect as he ruthlessly scanned the men in his path. "What is going on?"
Park Jimin ignored his question and brushed past his men. He disdainfully eyed Chou Tzuyu who was sitting on the couch with her legs crossed. Her off-shoulder silk top was low and revealed too much cleavage and she was wearing a short skirt.
Kim Namjoon was also surprised by her unprofessional attire. His boss had also ordered him to dig into her past, and though he quickly realized that she had zero notable talents, she had also been CEO Jeong's private secretary for six months. This was a professional meeting regarding a contract worth hundreds of millions, yet she decided today would be the perfect day to wear casual attires?
"You brought your woman with you?" Park Jimin scowled at her presence.
With her ensemble of gaudy expensive clothing that barely covered anything, anyone who came from money could tell she got nouveau riche by climbing someone's bed. Even the perfume she was wearing did not suit someone who was supposed to be a powerful CEO's fiancee, rather a woman who is intent on seducing wealthy men.
Jeong Jaehyun's eyes trailed to his lover and his smile died down a bit at the way she was sitting. Her long, slender legs were clearly displayed and with the way she sat, it gave every man in the room the perfect view of her assets.
Upon noticing his gaze on her, Chou Tzuyu sat up straighter. She awkwardly tucked her hair behind her ear in a very shy manner that made it seem she was apologetic for sitting like that.
"Yes, this is my fiancee, Chou Tzuyu. I didn't have time to properly introduce her to you at Yang Yuna's banquet." Jeong Jaehyun walked over to her, helped her to her feet and wrapped a protective arm around her. He looked very possessive over her as if introducing her to other men would make them covet his little treasure.
"CEO Jeong, this is a professional meeting to discuss your proposal." Park Jimin deadpanned, not even bothering to look at Chou Tzuyu.
"Yes it is, but-"
"I don't have time to waste on meeting unimportant people, especially a mistress." Park Jimin crossed his hand together, sitting on the enormous leather chair like a King. With his posture and the way he stared Jeong Jaehyun down, everyone could see his obvious dislike towards the couple.
Everyone present couldn't help but wonder why. CEO Park had an exemplary work ethic and would not target anyone on a whim. What was so wrong with her that caused a man like him to dislike her? Didn't wealthy and influential men like CEO Jeong prefer demure and docile girls that they can easily bully?
While the members of Park Jimin's team were curious, Kim Namjoon knew the real reason why Chou Tzuyu and Jeong Jaehyun may not have directly did anything bad to him, but they had repeatedly hurt Rosè Yanv. And to Park Jimin , an enemy of his woman was an enemy to him as well.
