The scar on her eye had started to burn. And not just the usual burn, the searing one that usually came when Voldemort was not in his best mood. Marcus watched Hestia as she flinched and winced, her hand absentmindedly rubbing her eye even though she wasn't aware of her actions. "Is the....Dark Lord upset?" Marcus asked her softly. Hestia's quill stopped and lingered over the paper, she mumbled out something that sent a chill down Marcus's spine, "The last time my scar burnt like this, was the day in the graveyard."
The day went by smoothly, and the plan to get Dumbledore and Molly seemed go be perfectly underway. Obviously brewing Verisetarum was risky and very dangerous, and stealing from Professor Snape was not something the teens needed. But luckily for them, Sirius and Remus, whom Marcus had wrote to, ended up sending a good two vials for them to use. "We cannot pour the entire contents into their drinks." Hermione said, her arms crossed across her chest, while she stared at Ron. The twins, Hestia, and March, watched the two argue for over 20 minutes. Ron believed that pouring all the contents in would have them loosening their tongues enough for them to admit all the nonsense they had done, but Hermione was against it, first she said that the effects of Verisetarum was something no one had documented so they didn't know what to expect. Secondly they didn't know if this plan would actually work. She wasn't going to risk using both bottles and the two didn't even drink their drinks. Finally Hestia shut her book that she was reading, silencing the two as they looked at her, "We use one bottle, three drops each, Hermione is right, we aren't wasting this opportunity, nor the potion."
The Saturday morning, everyone was seated for breakfast, and funnily enough, so were the teachers. While the group of friends ate, they watched Dumbledore inconspicuously, Molly was also there, they didn't know how, and why, but she was. Letting out a shaky breath, Hestia hoped Dobby would have the correct glasses given to the right people. After 5 minutes of silence from the targets, the gang sighed disappointedly, Marcus rubbing Hestia's palm, that is till Molly screeched out, "My favorite children are the ones who bring in money." She promptly clamped her mouth shut with her hands, while everyone stared at her in shock. Ron had a non fazed face, "We all knew that." He said as Hermione looked at him worried, "Gellert Grindelwald was my lover and is locked away in Nurmengard not killed." The headmaster watched in horror as everyone turned and looked at him now, McGonagall absolutely flabbergasted. "Albus what are you-" Hestia stood up, her hands on the table, "Professor Dumbledore, Mrs Weasley, were you both responsible for the harm caused to my betrothed Marcus Flint?" Minerva looked at her student and shook her head, "Ma Potter I highly doubt that they were in involved. And if you were the one whom put a potion into their drinks, you will be in-" getting cut off again, this time by Molly, Minerva felt her words get lost and her body go slack, "Yes it was Albus and I. We caught Marcus that night and made him endure the Cruciatus curse." Hestia felt her legs wobble, even though she knew the truth, hearing it from Molly's mouth was so final, and so...hurtful, she couldn't help but feel sick to her stomach. "But...why? Marcus was on our side! He wasn't some spy for the death eaters!" She screamed. Her cool now shattering, Marcus held onto her hand firmly, he knew her emotions were getting the better of her, but he also wanted to know why. Was it because he got too close to her? Did they not like him? "My dear, he was distracting you from your path. Making you more strong willed, you stopped listening to our suggestions in favor of his. You are our savior and champion, but you have to be guided, and molded. If you were to fall in love, it would have had to be something like the love your mother and father had. Not the love you have. Marcus was not good enough for our plan, so we used the curse on him in favor of bringing you back to our side." Dumbledore said. The great hall was silent, no one even let out a breath. Marcus looked up at Hestia, her eyes brimming with tears. In front of her, were the two people whom she trusted the most, both guided her before she knew of Sirius and Remus. They made her the witch she was today, but now that she thought of it, that was the reason she was so meek and quiet. Both never took her accusations of the Dursleys seriously, and she was never taken away from them. If they had believed her, she would have been brought up with another family, preferably the Weasley's or even Hermione's family. Ron as well was disgusted as he looked at the woman he called mother, the twins were absolutely upset, and Ginny, whom sat on the other end of the table, was beside herself. "The aurors have been called Albus, Molly. There is no way you can escape your fates now. I shall take over as Headmistress for a while." McGonagall said, her voice shaky and her face ashen.
"Well that's one issue taken care of." Hestia said after Dumbledore and Molly were lead away by the Aurors. The others nodded and Marcus looked at his fiancèe. She seemed okay, but he knew better and so did the twins and Ron and Hermione. They watched as Marcus held Hestia to his chest and she cried. Cried for who knows how long as she poured out all emotion that needed to be let out.
