As Link and Fenestra walked side by side in the cave, Link felt... weird. After those weeks, maybe even months, of walking behind Zelda — protecting her — it felt weird to be walking beside someone as an equal.

Suddenly, Fenestra stopped. She pointe ahead and turned to Link, "The ancient people were able to keep in here due to the creatures up ahead. They're not like regular monsters... they're different. They can hurt us. I've been locked in here for centuries because those things are one of the only reasons I can die."

Link reached for the Sheikah Slate, searching for a suitable weapon. He pulled out the Master Sword, a Lynel sheild, and his knight's bow, which were equipped with shock arrows. He hooked his gear to the strap that fell across his body. He instantly felt heavier, but after all the training he's done and the experience he has, it didn't bother him.

Link handed the torch to Fenestra and walked ahead, making sure to periodically look back to check on her.

After a few more minutes of walking, there was an opening in the cave. A huge clearing was opened in front of them. In the clearing, five ginormous worm-like creatures flew around slowly. Wispy blue fog surrounded each of them, and their bodies were made of some sort of ancient metal. They looked like snakes as they inched their way, swimming through the air in the cave.

Link was intrigued in all honesty. He had never seen something like this, even though it was similar to the Divine Beasts.

Behind him, he could sense that Fenestra was scared to death. She was breathing rapidly, and her hands were shaking.

Link studied the creatures — machines? Either way, they had to have a weakness. He scanned their bodies, looking for an opening, a wound, or maybe a button or lever. Nothing.

He took out his bow and pulled a shock arrow from his quiver, readying his aim.

"Careful, Mystery Boy," Link heard Fenestra whisper from behind. "They're fast, and they don't show mercy. If you want to take them down, aim for the eyes and the ears. If they can't see or hear you, then they can't catch you."

Link took note and tried to find where the face of the creatures were. No luck. He didn't even know what the creatures were. Were they alive? Powered by something? How old are they? If they were made by the ancient Sheikah civilization, then there most likely is a way to power them down. He just needs to find it.

Link noticed the light coming through the other side. There wasn't a full opening, he could maybe stick his full arm through the hole, but it was something. One of his Sheikah bombs might be able to open it up.

Link took a deep breath, ready to shoot his arrow.

In.

Out.

Shoot.
