❝Hold the knife and stab your heart, just let me know how excruciating you felt,❞ the words resounded in each corner. Tears pricking her gray eyes, her large lashes weighed heavy with tears, and her heart sniveled in utmost agony and dejection. She stared at the extensive mirror, a reflection of her displayed across it. Her gray eyes came into contact with his ocean blue ones staring back from the mirror, and her heartbeat quickened when she perceived his steps approaching her.

It was not until a heavy thunder accompanied by intense lightning struck the sky, resounding across the place, making the quivering Fayra instantly turn and cling to the man standing behind her, leaving him flabbergasted.

Meanwhile, it took a moment for him to gather his thoughts. With her face concealed in his chest, her heart beat wildly, and her eyes shed impotent tears. The man wrapped his muscular arms around her back, softly caressing it without his consent. His heart compelled him to do things he had never dreamed of doing before.

❝No—no, no,❞ she began to quiver and shriek, clutching his shirt as her tears dropped on his chest. Her heart came into perception when she felt his heart beating abnormally. He stood trying to fathom ways to calm her down, but she couldn't stop her heart from panicking, though oddly, she felt secure in the arms of her beast.

In seconds, he held her cheeks in a possessive grip, and his ocean blue eyes met her gray, tear-filled ones. As the storm grew more ferocious with each passing second, she moved closer to him, and he brushed his finger over her lower lip, sending shivers down her spine.

She bit her lower lip in agitation and dread, her innocent eyes staring at her beast, who looked back at her with a threatening expression she couldn't comprehend. His large and powerful hands gripped her tear-stained cheeks, their heartbeats syncing.

❝Don't hold me responsible for my next move, my beautiful,❞ he whispered huskily, making her stare at him mystified. The great Musa Hassan Khan didn't take another second to capture her lips in his, making her tear-filled eyes go wide.

He devoured her mouth with his eyes closed, his heart asking for more while his mind suppressed bizarre thoughts. His hands roamed over her back, pulling her closer. He savored her taste as his heart burned with a mix of emotions.

Her cheeks flushed, and her hands began to push against the beast who wasn't ready to pull away. Tears flowed from her eyes as her hands trembled in trepidation.

She shoved him with all her might, her eyes blazing with anger as tears rolled down her cheeks. She wiped her lips with the back of her sleeve, repulsed, and stared at him with utter abhorrence.

❝Why, Musa, is it so easy for you to bring me to tears?❞ she yelled, her voice echoing across the walls. She took a dangerous step toward him, casting a nauseous look with tears rolling down her cheeks. Unable to tolerate the look of emotions he carried for her at that moment, she turned and stood on the balcony, staring up at the murky sky as the rustling sound of the transparent gray curtain moved in a haze.

❝I don't give you the right to touch me, Mr. Khan,❞ she whispered scarcely, yet the words reached his ears, making him mask his bizarre emotions and turn all merciless again.

❝I can have any woman at my feet, darling,❞ he uttered wryly, stifling a loud chuckle. This earned Fayra's attention as she turned back and met his bewitching pair of ocean blue eyes, which yearned to pull her heart into their elegance and never let it return.

His eyes were like the deep ocean, a beauty that could draw one in, mysterious and breathtaking, making anyone want to explore every corner.

❝God gifted you with a beauty that women are beguiled by, Mr. Khan. True beauty is found in the heart, which unfortunately, you hold none,❞ she said, her fingers pointing at his heart. She wiped her lips in revulsion but couldn't deny that she still felt his lips on hers, the taste, and everything.

He stared at her choice of words, which burned holes in his heart. Yet, his eyes held anger for her, and he felt that if he got a chance, he would kill her. But he knew it was mere words because, for him, it was impossible to do.

A knock on the door grabbed their attention, and in entered none other than Dadi. She had come to wake Fayra for the morning prayer. When her eyes encountered Fayra's tear-stained cheeks, rage filled her eyes.

Musa took long strides to move out the door, but the words of his dadi stopped him in his tracks. The words echoed in each corner of the room, making Musa's eyes show hurt as he couldn't process where he went wrong.

By her next statement, Musa realized that his words were audible to her, that his dadi had heard him while on her way here. He glanced the other way in embarrassment.

❝This pride over your beauty shall burn you like how fire burns the coal,❞ she said.
