The Tales of a Distant Planet

Chapter 3

"Rainbow Imperial Wings Academy, well that's too flashy for a name, apart from the name the school was really a sight to see, huge buildings, open auditoriums, that looks like a training ground, and wherever I could look was all school grounds. The view from above is sure convenient. I could see like a thousands of students already, oh yeah on my way here Father told me that you attend only one school for your life,( it's so freaking awesome  right, like no elementary, middle or high school and no college either) and of course they all are boarding schools.

Well on a second thought I could see different people or I should say races too. (don't tell me whatever I've read in comics is gonna come true, well after looking at my Father everyday, I have to make this into my habit of not getting surprised). Upon reaching the gate, my Father handed a letter to the gatekeeper and bid farewell. I don't know why I was welling up from the inside like I don't want to leave him yet, sure I could see the same feelings in his eyes as well. Even though it's my second life, it's my first time getting a family.

The gatekeeper showed me the way to a big hall, and I am pretty sure everyone was staring me like some animal in a zoo, it's my wings right, they make stand out too much. Upon reaching the hall I saw many new students like me, I could tell that's probably elves, and those are d..  d..  dr.. dragons.... , wheew, and those look like...
"ATTENTION !"
I looked above me was a 6 winged person a bit older in looks compared to tribe chief and behind him were many more people each having distinct features.
"Welcome to Rainbow Wings Imperial School, where elites of the elites study and make a name for themselves to be remembered in the history of The great Vincenzania Empire, I Rancester Mary Roberto wishes you all the very best for your education on the behalf of our headmaster."

Honestly I expected a longer speech that that, but it ended and then we were sent to our living dorms, Each dorm had two people and the students were mixed n shuffled in such a way that no one of the same year would be in a room. Also the dorms were divided according to the races.

I see there is a Merman Dorm,  Elves Dorm, Rainbow Dorm .... Wait that's mine right? Aww man I wanted too look on more but then I was sent to my dorm and upon reaching my room I saw it was empty, maybe my roommate hasn't arrived yet. Hmm upon exploring room I was quite big compared to what I had at home, considering it has to accommodate 2 people I would say the size is right. Here comes the fun part, the beds. Om my god the size of the bed was double than that I had, it was a little less soft but who cares, it was so big that 8 earth adults can sleep in it.( The sizes of bed were this huge because of the wings, the wingspan is too large, that's why the size needs to be big, u can't always fold your wings in your sleep).

It was soon time for the first class and I headed there (ah please stop staring at me, I want to run away). If this was Earth, I would've hurled some abuses on the onlookers till now but let's not create fuss on the first day. I see there are a mix of people, I guess they all are first years, but our ages are surely different, I could tell because they looked more grown up and mature. Then came our teacher, she was an elf and have us an introduction to the world like we had 10 kingdoms and 3 empires and 47% of our planet is water, 14% is ice while the rest is land. The next class was probably on society and stuff coz it explained the types of species and their maturing age etc. Well this one was interesting as I got to know about various new things like there are 8 major species which are The Rainbows, The Angels, The Dragons, The Elfs, The Merman, The Beastketeers, The Dryads and Humans. Well I guess humans do exist everywhere where life is possible. The age to attends school was also different, Rainbows start from 5, Angels from 7, Dragons from 100, Elves from 6, Merman from 15, Dryads from 10, Beastketeers from 2 and Humans from 18. Well although the ages are different, our sizes are almost same, considering the average heights of an adult of each species, Rainbows 8-10 ft., Angels 7-9 ft., Dragons( cannot determine), Elves 5-7 ft., Beastketeers 5-12 ft., Merman and humans 5-6ft. And Dryads 4-6 ft.

That's a lot of information for me to absorb and then soon the class was over.
"Oh hi, I didn't notice there was another angel coming this year, but I haven't seen u anywhere, were you perhaps living outside of the tribe?"
I turned back to look it was an angel, she was pretty, well angels are born pretty and have wings by birth, but they don't grow extra pairs like us.
Wait, is she assuming I'm an Angel too but before I could say anything more.
" I seriously can't believe how stupid you angels are, just by looking at the wings you can tell that's he's a rainbow, hey kid tell me, you're a rainbow right?"
I nodded towards the person asking me the question, he was red haired, built nicely and had huge wings like that bats but red, wait is he a dragon..  Let me ask him
"And you are a dragon ?"
" Of course I am, what do u take me for."
"But..  That's IMPOSSIBLE....  How can a rainbow have wings at this age?"
The disbelief in the angel's eye was something I have become used to now but upon hearing this the whole class gasped in shock upon knowing the fact that I was a rainbow, I guess they were assuming me as an angel until now.  Oh Boy!!
