Chapter 7

*Noire's POV*

It's been a month since that day when Elvis did an Aerial Slash. I'm still not able to do it properly, but that kid also learnt Gust of Wind. The rate at which he grasps things is really amazing. It's now getting a bit cramped when we sleep, because of his large wings, which I am sure grew larger than before. Anyway it must be the time he is coming back from his morning stroll.

Elvis loves flying more than anything, I don't get it, I am also flying since I was 15 years old, maybe it's different for rainbows. To think that we would have such different speeds, he is almost twice as fast as me and has a better control and he can also fly backwards. I don't know how he learnt that, he says he learnt it from watching some bird named humming or chumming but I don't believe him.

Hmm it's been so long where is he? I think I have to check. I went to look for him in the whole school but he was no where to be seen. So I went to the forest where he frequently started going. I went there where some noises were coming and saw Elvis fighting with one Dryad. Maybe he offended him.
"Aerial Slash, To think your endurance would be this high, ha."

The dryad blocked his skill with his hands but was still pushed back several meters.Elvis charged at the dryad with all his might. He kicked towards his chest and then proceeded to punch him, but the dryad stopped it with his hand, Elvis smirked and sweeped his wing at the foot of the dryad causing him to fall. The dryad immediately rolled away to avoid Elvis's kicks and when he stood up.
"Gust of Wind and Aerial Slash, let's see how you dodge this."
"Ughh ....fine you win, my hands are still numb from blocking that slash head on."
The dryad noticed my presence and quickly looked up at me. His eyes were showing hostility.
"Noire how come you are here."
"You know that dragon."
"Yes, I live with him."
"Huh? You live... with him..."
He kept looking at me and Elvis, maybe it was too weird for him to know this.
"Anyway, James, this is Noire and Noire this is James."
Well I don't like his face honestly why would he fight with a dryad.
"So why were you fighting?"
"Oh we were just practicing for the tournament."

This statement came to me as a shock. He is taking that Dryad as his partner for the dual team and he didn't even tell me. I was disappointed but more than that I was angry. I left without saying a word.
"What happened to him?"
"I don't know, let me ask him and I'll see you at the academy James."

I was so angry at him, I didn't noticed how fast I was flying
"Wait.... Wait for me."
I could hear Elvis behind me but I wasn't in a mood to talk to him.
"I know you could listen, what happened? Tell me."
I forgot that rainbows fly at a faster rate, but I simply ignored him and went straight to the school.

I didn't talk to him the whole day and even ignored him when we were at our dorm room. I even slept with by back facing towards him. Ah I was mad at him, the whole day Elvis did different things to make me talk to him, but I ignored him each time.

"Noire ! At least talk to me, if you won't tell me, how would I know."
"There's nothing for you to know."
"Huh, you are ignoring me since yesterday , isn't it enough now."
As I began to move, he came in front of me and blocked my way.
"Out of my way Elvis."
"No! First you tell me what's going on with you."
"Why don't you mind your own business and leave me alone."
"Look I'm sorry if I have done something wrong but don't treat me like this."
"Why don't you go that dryad huh don't you have to practice for your tournament."
"Well I do but... "
"If you do then leave.."
I was getting impatient and angry, why is he so persistent. He stood at the door and refused to leave. My anger reached at its peak and I shoved Elvis with my full strength.

*Elvis's POV*

I couldn't believe he did that, my chest and back both were hurting and I could see all the other dragons in the dorm, they must have heard the commotion after all, his shove was strong enough to send me flying to the other dorm, I broke the window and crashed on the wall on the other side of the room which was in front of our room.

"Geez ! What the hell, where did you come from? Are you perhaps alright?
She walked towards me and then looked at the direction of the broken window.
"Noire ! Have you gone insane finally. What's the meaning of this? I knew you had some problem in your brain. First you take up a baby rainbow and then you throw him like this."

I'm not a baby... But those things apart, I don't know if it was because of the pain in my body or in my heart, I was tearing up. I don't want to cry now, but this body.... Ah I can't control my tears. What did I even do to deserve this. I even said sorry... But now enough is enough, if he's gonna be like this then I'm not gonna stay here anymore, so what if he's a dragon, or if he helped me before, it's all settled now. There were shattered glass pieces struck in my wings and my back and I knew I was bleeding.

So I tried to stand up. Watching me doing that, made that female dragon assist me.
"You are bleeding heavily kid, wait I'll patch it up right now."
"I.. It's ok and I'm sorry for destroying your room."
"Hey it's not your fault, don't be sorry."
"I've troubled you enough. Don't worry I'll fix myself."
With that I went out of her room and flew towards rainbow dorm.
