The group were trapped in an impossible situation, but River quickly used her squareness gun to open up a route for them, once she did, the blonde yelled, "This way, quickly, move!"
They soon reached safety in a room that was filled with a red light, "OK, we've got a clear spot. In, in, in!" River told everyone, who ran into the centre of the room, she then said, "Right in the centre, in the middle of the light, quickly! Don't let your shadows cross. Doctor..."
"I'm doing it." The Doctor said as he scanned for active Vashta Nerada.
"There's no lights here. Sunset's coming, we can't stay long." River said.
"Have you found a live one?" Lillian asked the Doctor.
"Maybe, it's getting harder to tell. What's wrong with you?" The Doctor answered, directing the last part to his sonic screwdriver.
"We're going to need a chicken leg. Who's got a chicken leg?" River asked the group. Lillian then added, "Or any meat that isn't one of us would do."
Dave gave River his chicken leg, who threw it into the darkness, and the meat was immediately taken off of the bone. "OK... OK, we've got a hot one. Watch your feet."
"They won't attack until there's enough of them, but they've got our scent now, they're coming." The Doctor said.
"Who are they? You haven't even told us. You just expect us to trust them." Dave asked River.
"Doctor, why does the anti-possession tattoo keep them away?" Lillian asked.
"They'd still kill you if you walked in there, but they won't latch onto you. I don't know, perhaps they're a different type of demon. I've never researched it much." The Doctor answered.
"Couldn't we just exorcise them then?" Lillian questioned, as the Doctor continued scanning for Vashta Nerada.
"Well, if we can find the right exorcism, then sure? But it's probably never been written down, and we're trapped." The Doctor told her, moving to another section of the room.
"We're trapped in a library!" Lillian exclaimed.
"Yeah, a library, not your dads house." The Doctor said.
"My dad's dead." Lillian said.
"I meant Bobby's, dad just rolled off the tongue." The Doctor told her.
"Is there or is there not an exorcism that can be used on these guys?!" Lillian yelled out.
"No!" The Doctor answered.
"There we go then!"
"You two, stop." River told Lillian and the Doctor, after walking up to the two, the blonde then asked, "What's wrong with it?"
