𝐿𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑛𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡

At 5:30, all the guys start to leave. Everyone but me and Benny. "Hey, good throw, Drama Queen." He says as we walk around the baseball field. I smile at him and shove him a bit.

"Thanks, Stalker." He shoves me a bit back. "So, who's your boyfriend, Peffercorn?" He asks me, I sigh. "Phillips." He just stares at me. After a bit of silence, he laughs a bit. "Really? Phillps??" I nod and push him some more.

He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. "Benny!! Put me down!!" I yell as I punch his back. "Nope! Not putting you down just yet, Hermosa." He says, I turn pink from the nickname. 𝑏𝑒𝑎𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑓𝑢𝑙.. he thinks I'm beautiful?

Benjamin Franklin Rodriguez thinks I'm beautiful. "You really think that?" I ask as I quit punching his back. He sets me down right in front of him. "Of course, anyone who doesn't think that is stupid." He says, I smile at him.

Of course, I've been called beautiful before, but this beautiful meant something. Without thinking, I kiss Benny on the cheek. "Thank you, Benny. I'll see you tomorrow!" I say, just then my sister honks her car horn.

I run to my sister car as I see Benny just standing in the field, holding his cheek and smiling. I get into the car, still looking at Benny. "Well, how'd it go??" Wendy asks me, I smile. "Great, Benny called me beautiful.." I say.

"You have to see him tomorrow, Yn!! He's so in love with you!!" She says, I laugh and nod.

That night, I lay in bed thinking about everything that happened today. 𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑎.. 𝐻𝑒𝑟𝑚𝑜𝑠𝑎.. I smile at the thought of the word as I slowly fall asleep.

𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑥𝑡 𝑑𝑎𝑦

My alarm clock goes off at 7:00 am, giving me an hour to get ready! I throw on some baggy jeans and a tank top. Before I leave my room, I grab my converses and my baseball cap.

I walk downstairs and say goodbye to my mom and my sister. I start walking down the street when I see Benny, talking to that one random kid from yesterday.

"Hey, Benny!!" I yell, getting both of their attention. Benny and the kid walk over to me. "Hey, Hermosa." Benny says, smiling at me. The other kid waves to me. "Oh, this is Smalls, Smalls, this is Yn." Benny says as we continue to walk.
