Ayanokouji POV

Within due time, the D-bus finally arrived at the front gates of our new illustrious high school, the Advanced Nurturing High School. The stone arches beckoned new students into entering the massive complex, drawing newcomers into unfamiliar territory on this floating island.

"The hell? Is this supposed to be a school or a city?" Majima squinted with his good eye, taking in all the new scenery before the three of us, those being myself, Sakata and Majima.

"What do you mean 'the hell?' You tellin' me you've never heard of this place before? It's like one of the most famous schools in the nation, moron! I lived way far up north from here and I've heard of this place already!" Sakata exclaimed in Majimas general direction rather loudly, drawing lots of attention.

"Shut up, dumbass! It's not like I was planning on coming here in the first place." Majima snapped back at Sakata, a little bit quieter than Sakata.

"Wait!"

Before I could throw my own thoughts into this conversation, the black haired girl from earlier on the bus had called out, pointing an accusatory finger at me.

"You were staring at me. Why?" The girl immediately began by throwing out accusations towards me in particular.

"I glanced at you. I never stared, I don't know where you're getting that from. Besides, I glanced at everyone during that incident, and it seemed to me that you had no intention of helping the old woman out." I responded, unsure where she was going with this.

"I didn't have any intention of helping. It wasn't my problem to begin with since that woman's ire was directed at the other boy who refused initially." The woman with black hair finally addressed the main topic of this conversation, which is feeling more and more pointless by the second.

I could only stare blankly back at her. What in the world is she going on about? What is she even upset about in the first place?

"So what was the fucking point of coming up to us and acting all angry? I still don't get what you're so upset about." Majima finally made his presence known to the girl, who the proceeded to glare at him instead of me thankfully.

"Haven't you ever been taught that it's rude to interrupt a conversation?" Our black haired hellspawn shot right back at Majima, not really answering his initial question.

Majima scoffed at the question. "You mean the thing you just did? Yeah, I have been taught that once or twice. Seems to me that you could be taught that a few times too."

Sakata was too busy trying to stifle laughter to even attempt to offer his own words in this tense exchange of dialogue. How the girl hasn't directed her fury at him is a mystery to me at this point.

"Excuse me?" Our fair maiden was taken aback for a second, then managed to glare even harder than she already was.

"Don't 'excuse me?' Me woman! You're the one who initially interrupted our own conversation to berate this guy over here!" Majima made an exaggerated gesture in my direction. "Are you retarded, or just hypocritical?"

"... I can't believe I have to share a class with all of you." The girl shook her head and walked away, still fuming at Majima and his lack of tact.

Upon hearing her words, both Sakata and Majima whipped their heads in my direction. "Ya hear that? We're both halfway to winning that bet now, aren't we?" Sakata posed the question, an impish grin covering his face.
