Dropping one of the boxes, Clara looked at her aunt. "Why do we get stuck when Elena and Jeremy are here?"

"Jeremy! Elena! Get down here and help!"

Clara sighed as she knew there will be issues. She saw the Gilbert watch and sighed as she knew it goes to Jeremy. Something that was promised to him. She smiled as she knew that when the time is right, her little brother will know the truth. She pocketed the watch as she wanted to give it to Jeremy personally. A knock caused them to stop looking. Clara grabbed the box that they had some of the things on the list to give. "Here you go, Tyler." She says opening the door.

"Thanks, Clara." He says. "How's little Gilbert?"

As if on cue, Mara-Belle came running to her mom. Clara picked her daughter up as Jeremy walked over. She heard the boys and looked at them. "If you two don't stop acting liking girls when it comes to a boy, then I will make you two wear dresses." She tells them. "All this because of Vicki Donavan, who is by the way, using both of you." She looked at Tyler. "Drugs." Then to her little brother. "Sex."

The two boys and Elena, who wasn't that far from the stairs watched Clara walk to the kitchen with her daughter.

Sometime that day, Clara took her daughter shopping. She needed to get a dress for her and Mara-Belle. The dresses they have are old and Clara wanted something new and different. She walked into a store and started searching as Mara-Belle slept. She found a beautiful green dress for her daughter and started looking for one herself.

Damon saw Clara and her daughter causing him to think of a plan. If she found out that he is feeding from Caroline, he may not get to have fun. All she was to him was to get information about the single mother. He wanted to see if she knew how to get Katherine out, but just thinking about her bothered him. What is that woman doing to me?

Later that day, Clara just laid Mara-Belle down to hear her brother and sister. She walked out of the room and straight to her brother's. "What is going on here?"

"Mrs. Lockwood called and said the watch was missing."

"I took it out and gave it to the rightful owner. Jeremy. Dad promised him that watch and I laid it down on the nightstand." She says. "Carol is just needs to get over it. I'm not handing something over that doesn't belong to her."

Elena watched Clara hug Jeremy. She looked at the watch and laid it back down to tell Carol that it was missing.

Clara looked at her brother smiling. "I will always make sure you and Elena gets what they wanted you guys to have."

"What did they leave you?"

Clara smiled as she pulled a beautiful locket out. "This necklace was passed down. It was told that her lover gave her this necklace and to give it to the first born girl."

"Did they say what happened?"

"Yeah." She says. "Let's say a woman appeared and killed her."

"Why?"

Clara sighed. "Because she wanted both brothers attention."

The next day, Clara arrived with her daughter at the Lockwoods. She didn't see her sister as her daughter squealed at the people dancing. Bonnie walked over smiling. "I'm dancing with this beautiful little girl."

Damon saw Clara laugh, but something she had on shocked him. The necklace he gave Clary Gilbert before she was killed by Katherine. He fell in love with Katherine not knowing that she killed Clary. He remembered when they found her body that his whole world shattered. "Damon?" Clara says causing him to look at her. "Are you okay?"

"Just thinking." He says. "That's a beautiful necklace."

"Thank you. It was passed down to the first born daughter." She tells him. "Dad told me that Clary Gilbert was in love with a man who's father could never accept him. Even when he went to the army." She saw the entries and smiled. "Did Stefan tell you that I know what you boys are?"

"Yes." He says. "Do you know who the lover was who gave Clary that necklace, the one you're wearing."

"No." She tells him as he guided her out to the dance floor. "They said it was hidden. I never knew why it was hidden."

Damon knew why. His father was one of the reasons and Clary was supposed to be courting with another person, but she wanted him. Looking at Clara, he could see a little bit of Clary in her. The blue eyes caught it. The two didn't know how long they were dancing till Elena came over with Mara-Belle. "We need to go."

"Why?"

"You are dancing with a monster. He hurt Caroline."

Clara looked at Damon hurt. She had hopes that he wasn't evil, but when it comes to Caroline, no one harms her. Clara shoved Damon away. "Why her? I told you what would happen."

"Let's go."

"Mommy!"

Clara walked away with her daughter and sister. Damon couldn't believe that he had a moment with Clara, but it was ruin because of Elena. Someone he was not going to like at all.

Searching for a necklace
