Clara didn't know what to do. Mara-belle hasn't slept since Stefan told them he was living and Clara didn't know what to do because her daughter grew a bond with Damon. Hell, she didn't want him gone.

"Clara?"

"What Elena?" She asked harshly.

"Is everything okay?"

"No. Because of you, Mara-belle can't sleep because Damon is leaving all because Stefan wants to thanks to you." She says looking at her. "All thanks to you, my daughter is hurt from this."

"I..."

"Get out of my room." Clara tells her. "Now!"

Elena walked out as the door slammed shut. Clara looked at her daughter and sighed as she wished she knew what to do. Walking over to her, Clara picked Mara-Belle up and decided to take her for a walk. "Come on, let's go for a stroll. Just mommy and you."

On her walk, Mara-Belle fell asleep, but Clara was hoping to run into one of the Salvatores. Damon saw the hunter he was looking for. "Clara, I need your help." He says handing her the watch. "Can you tell me if there is a vampire near?"

Clara looked at him then to the stroller. "Watch her." She tells him. "Plus, she misses you and I have no idea why."

Damon looked at Mara-Belle to see the girl sleeping causing him to smile. He started pushing her as Clara was searching for the new vampire. He stopped at the storage to see Clara looking at the building. "So this is where the new vampire is." She nodded. "Welp, thank you and have a good day."

Clara watched him go to the door to a storage. "Damon." He looked at her. "Don't listen to Stefan or Elena. If you have a chance of moving on from Katherine, then take that chance. Don't do what others tell you to do." She tells him. "You are Damon Salvatore, yes you can be an ass, but you are more than that to me and Mara-Belle. Think about that."

Watching the mother-daughter duo leave, Damon looked at the door then towards Clara. He knew she was right, they were the only one to accept him the way he is. He had to protect them. Opening the door, Damon walked in not thinking that the new vampire was someone this town knows.

Sometime that day, Bonnie found Clara as she knew the girl saved her, but knew about the problem between her and Elena. "Clara, I need to speak to you."

"About?"

"I think you can help me besides grams with my magic." She says. "You know more and you don't take me as a joke."

Clara sighed as she looked at her daughter then to the witch. "Bonnie, accept who you're truly are because you can't let people put you down and Elena will be that girl. I love my sister, but she's not the same." Clara tells her. "My daughter hasn't been able to sleep since Stefan announce they were leaving. Mara-Belle grew an attachment to him and I have no idea why my daughter likes him so much."

"Are you..."

"Bonnie, after the last one left when I discovered I was pregnant, I don't know what love is or feelings." Clara confessed. "I guess, Mara-Belle sees a father figure in him."

Bonnie looked at her. "I don't think they will leave because I never seen Damon look at someone so hurt like he did after realizing who he bit. You changed him."

Clara sighed. "I don't see it."

Sometime that night, Clara was working as Jenna walked around with Mara-Belle till she saw Logan. "Clara, I am giving you Mara-Belle and hiding from Logan." Jenna tells her.

"Logan?" She stated as her aunt ran off.

Mara-Belle started crying causing Clara to take her outside not knowing that her and her daughter would be in danger.

Not long after Logan left with Clara and Mara-Belle, Elena went looking for her big sister to apologize. "Hey, Matt, have you seen Clara?"

"Logan just left with her. Said he was taking her and Mara-Belle home."

Damon and Stefan shared a look not liking this at all. Walking away, Damon had to find them and fast.

Clara looked at Damon as she was sitting in his car. She looked at Mara-Belle as she was sleeping. "I'm not taking you two home." He tells her. "I think you two need a break from Elena and Mystic Falls."

Clara looked at him. "Why me?" She asked not knowing her phone was set on vibrate or that Elena was calling her.

Not saying a word, Damon continued driving thinking about why Clara.
