Eliza finished her morning pull ups and heard a tune knocked on her door and smiled and dropped to the floor. She regained her composure and flattened out her features and opened the door, "Morning Mx Whispers."
Raines' face fell, "No um I told you. You can just call me Raine."
Eliza held no emotions on the surface but on the inside she was jumping for joy. She really liked Raine, she would never tell them though. She had never made attachments, it was only her and her brother, The Silver Soldier and the Golden Guard. She didn't trust anyone else fully, not even Belos. But something about Raine made her trust them maybe even more than her brother. "With Pleasure Raine."
The blue haired witch smiled, "Get ready, you have school in an hour. Um Kiki wanted me to bring you some griffin Eggs." They scratched the back of their neck with an awkward smile as they held out the plate.
"Thank you. I'll eat and get dressed." She smiled a bit and closed the door. She smiled it was a start. That all Raine could ask for after 16 years of solitude with only the Golden Guard to count on.
School was still an odd concept. She was incredibly awkward; she was just glad all her 'friends' were as well. Willow was really nice and perky. She had made sure to practically adopt Eliza into their group almost immediately. If she sensed anything off about the girl, she didn't think it was anything to worry about.
She pulled on her gloves and winced as it touched her sigil, they still felt weird, angry. She grabbed her bag and lyre stuffing it in and walked out to Raine. She refused to send it back to wherever it came from, she was afraid she would never get it again. "I wish I could take my staff," She sighed. "It would be much quicker."
"I wish I still had mine," Raine sighed. Right, they were becoming head bard, they would have had to turn their staff in. "Maybe you'll get to make one," they said, smiling at Eliza.
She shook her head, "Those things are made of wild magic. They're dangerous "
Raine looked off with a dreamy smile thinking of Eda and Owlbert, "No they're not." The conversation was more on common ground for the rest of the trip. "I can't pick you up today I have some paperwork to do can you find your own way home or should I send someone to get you."
"I can do it. Thank you," She nodded at Raine and walked into the school.
"Hey, Eliza." Willow called walking up with Gus.
She put on her friendly smile and greeted them, "Hey Willow, Gus."
The three of them walked to class as Gus asked questions about Bard magic, which thanks to her lessons with Raine, she was able to answer. She had taken lessons with Ranie every day after school to get her up to speed with the rest of her class. it was what she looks forward to the most. Both turned to the side with wide smiles making her turn and gasping quietly. The two ran forward, "no!" She whisper shouted to herself.
"Ah, Luz, you're okay!"
"Whoa Gus. Did I, uh, miss a birthday or something?"
"Witch puberty," He supplied.
"I can't thank you guys enough for helping me and Eda at the conformatorium."
Eliza cursed remembering that she met Luz then too. So her calm voice and her joyful voice wasn't gonna cut it. She decided to go for her cheery tone that she had adopted from Raine and Willow.
"It's cool, I just hope it helps Eda learn my name. She keeps calling me goops."
"Hey Goops," a random student waves.
"It's already spreading," he says in horror.
"Oh, Luz this is Eliza," Willow said beckoning the blonde girl over.
