'Woah! Dude... Chill! CHILL! You're okay! You're okay!' Wide eyed, the blond grabbed Craig's shoulders in a frantic attempt to settle the nerved pastor in his hyperventilated state. His grip loosened as he felt Craig's tightened muscles relax under his palms. 'I-I'm sorry! That was stupid of me... I should of-'The Imps panicked words were swiftly cut off - a fist had found his nose. Struck with brute force, Tweek recoiled - dropping before the pastors bed and clutching at his nose with both hands. 'S-Shit...' Tweek stuttered, bluish eyes rolling backwards and took slow blinks as he tried to ride out the searing pain.
Craig sat bolt upright, his chest heaving, teeth clenched, while his fists remained balled up. His eyes were filled with rage.
'I deserved that...' Eventually coming to his senses and surroundings again, Tweek stumbled to his feet human feet - still finding them difficult to control and remain steady.
Watching the other clamber around, the pastor took it upon himself to try and escape the confines of his bed. His fingers clawed at wires and monitors. He needed to get away - far away.
'Woah... Shit! No, no, no... Don't do that...' Realisation hit the imp, his body lurched forwards and managed to wrap his fingers around the pastors wrists - prying his hands apart. 'You are not fit to be leaving this bed, Craig... Calm down!' The pair struggled against one another momentarily but the pain wore away at the pastors stamina, forcing him to back off.
There was an awkward moment of silence between the two. The blond refused to part ways with Craig's wrists, his grip still firm. Both of their frames heaved but their gaze remained unbroken for several moments; that was until the imp noticed several splatters of blood dashing the discarded bedsheets beneath their feet.
Dropping his hands, Tweek backed away while using his sleeve to mop up the crimson that seeped from his nose.
Craig let his arms fall limply to his side while his head dropped, panting to regain misplaced oxygen. The silence continued but his green gaze darted upwards from where his head hung - studying the person before him. He noted the dark hoodie the imp had chosen to wear from his very limited collection of clothes, that what skin was visible looked so pale in the dimly lit room, it was bruised and cut in places too amongst the blood that stained his face. His hair was a mess - just blond misplaced locks but they framed his thin face.
Far from the creature that plagued his nightmare.
Instinctively, Craig's now bruised hand carefully and slowly reached for the 'call help' button that was located beside his bedside. His fingers just gracing the plastic shell of the button as he strained to grab it - it suddenly shot from beneath his touch, skidding across the room. The imp had caught on.
Green eyes met with fading red.
'Why are you tormenting me? Foul, fucking demon...' Craig's finally plucking at his vocal cords but every word hurt as much as that dagger did. The imp still clutched at its face, uncertain of his next move.
Craig began to growl. 'Father, remove all forces of evil. Banish all those...'
'Woah, woah, woah...' He imp finally speaking again, raising his blood streaked hands above his head. Glowing eyes fading blue. 'No need start exorcising anyone just yet... I'm- I'm sorry! Just a stupid bit of fun. It's kinda what us imps do... I'm sorry, I know you've been through it.' With that, Tweek slumped his lanky frame into the cushioned chair beside the hospital bed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
'Wait...' Whatever was going on here had blown the pastors mind. 'Let me get this straight... You saved me... But you're the one those crazies raised?' As much as the last 24 hours had been one big one massive mind fuck for Craig - it just kept on going apparently.
