Their day together was stupendous.
In Bliss's words.
She saw the words of her mother coming to fruition already.
She wouldn't want to leave Connor once their night ended.
However, they would deal with that once the night ended.
Now it was time to meet the Jefferies.
Thankfully, Bliss wasn't nervous. She was actually excited.
God calmed and quieted her anxiety.
"So, is there anything I need to know about your parents? I don't wanna look silly," She laughed lightly and rested her head on Connor's shoulder.
Connor hummed as he thought about his parents.
"I don't think so. They're pretty normal. My mother will want to sit by you, and my father will tell you embarrassing stories about how our Disney trip went for my eighteenth birthday."
"Ooh, I can't wait to hear it!"
Bliss lifted her head and observed his profile.
The man was stunning.
The more she got to know him, the more attractive he became.
Inside out, his character shone.
"You know, I really like you a lot," She told him.
Like a lot, a lot.
He smiled.
She liked his smile.
"Do you have a dimple?"
He shook his head.
Handsomely.
"You could be lying, but I wouldn't know because of your amazing beard,"
She patted his beard. "Don't shave it. Like, ever. Unless you really want to. But I think it's perfect,"
She liked how free she could be with him.
She could say anything, and he'd go with it.
It shocked her the morning after the fire when he didn't call her out on the randomness of her subject changes. He didn't mind that she couldn't finish her thoughts all the time.
He was kind.
"Well, thank you, Bliss. I don't think I'll ever shave it, especially knowing how much you like it." Connor would die his beard green if Bliss asked. "What's your favorite color, lovely?"
He would never get tired of hearing Bliss go on about any and everything.
It was a treat.
She was comfortable enough with him, and that was a true blessing.
"Hazel," Bliss answered with a soft smile, though they'd already shared their favorites.
It was pink, rainbow, and now hazel trumped them all.
"Your eyes are literally the best color. Just because they're yours. I liked pink before meeting you," She winked playfully.
"Aren't you a sweetie pie?" Connor was sure to get sick if Bliss kept being so sweet. "Too much sugar isn't good for a man, but I'll make an exception for you." He kissed her hand and sighed. "I'm thankful for you, Bliss Harrison."
Bliss's heart melted.
She was someone's sweetie pie. And he was thankful for her.
Being with Connor was like a dream.
